Asda have reduced their entire Mexican range, to a £1. Personally I think these are much nicer than Old El Paso kits.

This is both instore and online.

Best nacho kit around!

These are the best nachos around

Good spot, thanks.

Are they as good as the old el paso? I prefer the smoky bbq flavour and dont think asda do them?

Sadly not. Cheap though

Only ever pay £1 for this or the old el passo kits in my asda anyways.

Mmm iv got 2 in my cupboard and the enchalatas (sorry about the spelling) my family love them

Alotta Fajita.

I'm doubtful that you pay £1 for old el paso. £1.50 is about as cheap as they get.

Tried the fajitas, and they were very tasteless compared to the el Paso smokey BBQ. Must try the nachos from the comments here.

The wraps stick to your mouth, you don't get that with discovery or El Paso

I think its worth mentioning that these Asdas kits are made by Discovery (come out of the same factory, use same wraps etc). So they are no better or worse than the brand equivalents.

Had enchiladas for the first time last week - really easy and very tasty!

Cheaper then buying just the wraps
I never buy the nacho kits as I not a fan of the cheese sauces (I just buy value nachos, salsa and add some real cheese, works out about the same cost), but there other kits are nice. For £1 they are well worth it, if only for something a bit different.

Try the ones from Aldi, I find they have more flavour than branded ones!

Not necessarily so -may be out of the same factory , but not necessarily the same recipe

When i worked at campbells we produced our own soup, M&S,Sainsburys,Aldi etc
Each to a different recipe

Old el passo kits don't sell for as low as £1 - not when you say "only ever" which applies this price has been displayed multiple times...

always bought the El Paso kits,my daughter talked me into trying the Asda ones, have to say i couldnt tell much difference between the two,but the Asda nachos kit well and truly kicks the butt out of El paso, the nachos are a lot thinner and crispier and even if the were giving away the El Paso ones for free now i'd rather buy the Asda ones...head added

Old El Paso kits are one of the biggest rip-off's in supermarkets.
Sometimes you see them as high as £3.50. The chicken to go in them doesn't cost that much.

I'm going to try the Asda nachos too.

I have had them £1 or under in reduced sections before, never that low on special offers etc

Got some at the weekend, better stock up - They're tastey with some extra smoke paprika (_;)

Fajita kit just buy....chicken,onions,peppers,cheese,guacamole,sour cream, proper salsa.not really a kit then.

Thanks OP.

From the main supermarkets no, but from the likes of B&M and home bargains you can pick up the kits for £1 or less.
I bought a Old El Paso Enchilada (not bad) and Nacho (horrible) kit from Home Bargains not too long ago for £1 (might have been 99p) each, it still had about a year on the BB date. Its just there stock varies and depends a lot on if they have rebranded or packaged anything recently (the nachos where the old style boxes).
I'm just saying £1 for Old El Paso kits isn't unheard of its just mainly from the discount store not the big supermarkets.

What, no spices at all?

£3 in Cumbernauld Asda.

Must try these. I don't like the old El Paso ones, usually buy the discovery pack from Iceland at £2.

Didnt realize people could argue over fajita kits !

1/ No these dont come with cheese, chicken, or vegetables
2/ I too have bought Old El Paso kits from BM stores for a pound. However when I bought them they were the "mini" kits, with mini wraps. I would not be surprised if they occasionally stock full sized kits but its not a deal people can bank on taking advantage of.
3/ Lidl and Aldi do their fajita kits for £1.50. I personally do not like the Lidl one and although its personal taste I prefer the Asda ones. I dont believe they do Nachos/Burrito/Enchilada Kits.
4/ The best fajita sauce is the one Knorr use to sell (which I cant find anywhere now)

Asdas Nachos are disguisting, nowhere near as good as the nachips kits.

Others are ok though. Good deal!

typical stockd up on nachos due to earlier comments, then again i find nachips foul,so maybe it's just you.

mind you usually for about £2 i buy tesco value tortilla chips a can of stag chili anda mozzarella ball, you get double plus it is more luxurious

This Jamie Oliver chicken fajita recipe is fantastic: jamieshomecookingskills.com/rec…tas

Very cheap once you have the base ingredients as well...
