ASDA have reduced their Fresh Taste range down to £2 instead of an average of £3.50. Only noticed due to the fact that their shelves were pretty empty. Picked up some tandoori chicken breasts but they had peri-peri and peppered steaks too. Also available on-line by the looks of things. Fresh taste soup down to a pound also if thats your bag.
Have an explore, you'll get the idea.
First deal post, I wonder how things will pan out, how exciting

Great post, have some heat!

Was the same in the Asda, Benton store last Thursday -everything was reduced to £2 but most of the shelves were empty!

We had the gammon steaks in cheese sauce for dinner tonight, they were very yummy. Still have the chicken breasts in mushroom sauce for later in the week. They also had cod in mornay sauce, salmon, can't remember the sauce and another fish in sauce. Others I remember are Chicken supreme, chicken breast with bbq and sweet and sour sauce and they had individual bagged meals. King prawns with linguine, a beef dish and I think a thai green curry one. I did ask how long the sale was on for and I got the usual I don't really know, but I'll spout something and act like I do answer that I always get from Asda staff LOL, and he said it's a rollback and that's the price

heat added thanks,

The prawn with linguini looked very yummy. Shelves packed full of this deal in Sutton, Surrey

You have to question at these prices how the animals have been raised (Chicken often being treated the worst). I'm all for a bargain and I eat meat, but please keep in mind animal welfare.

Nah, you just have to question how much they were ripping you off in the first place. The price of meat seems to be going through the roof most places.

Theres always one that feels the need to try 'educate' everybody else, surley people are aware of these things in this day and age and dont need reminding in every post about food.

Hurry up and get theses, i was told due to high demand asda will be stopping this very soon

well overpriced before... but not bad at this price

The animals are kept in exactly the same conditions when the product is marked at £2.00 as when it is marked at £3.50.

If you want something to worry about, worry about the poor farmer (and his family) who was probably told by Asda that they would only be paying half the usual pittance they usually pay this week so that they could run this promotion. Asda is not alone in this practise - all the major 4 are the same. These promotions are funded by the supplier whether they like it or not. If they don't play ball, the supermarket soon takes their contract away completely.

had 7 packs they look yummy but ait cooked them

Today we have tried the peri peri chicken and the chicken kiev. All I can say is that were nasty.
The peri peri was very watery and the kiev tray looked like there was a load of sludge in the bottom of it. It does state on the packet that if you are not 100% happy they will replace and refund the item. I have since called Asda and done just that.
It is not something I would buy again but I may give the non chicken meals a go
