probably the fact the OP works there?or should she have smuggled out a recording of the "being told about it"? and linked it here??

interesting but are you certain? I work for asda in glasgow,in the home and leisure department so my department does all the gifts and I havent heard this one.

price changes dont come on the system til 5am so we will see what happens in my store. good tip if its true m8 .

Aw jeez - ive been TRYING to post the exact same deal just now but the site keeps bumping me.

i can verify its true and starts at 7.30am tommorrow. It will be down to £1 for anything thats current in the 2for£8 range and £2-£4 for anything in the 2for16gbp range. Essentially the items on direct.asda.com/asd…tml .

This is IN STORE only

Story is thus : my wife went to a WI promotion that ASDA ran today - showcasing its "extra special" range of christmas goodies by way of a chef prepared lunch. The manage running the show said that all the giftware (thats cosmetic gift packs, toy packs and the like) are going on sale cheap as tommorrow at 7.30AM and traditional sell out the shelves by 11 or 12AM the same day. So you need to be in early.

All asda stores are included.
Some good stuff in there - for example, the gift packs for nivea or HSM take down the prices to way below individual items so its worth it for stocking fillers or just cosmetics supplies.

good luck. Wont know how good the sale is until tommorrow morning tho!

i doubt it !

Not really a deal so maybe should be moved to misc

there are ome things online at £1...but when they go into the basket they come up at original price

Thanks skeeter, it is very true on everything apart from alcohol gift packs. To the person who wants proof . . what do you want me 2 do? record the meeting in the morning? and this is only instore, i know it isnt just my store because the pos and price changes are sent from asda house rather than us reducing them on the system

Pillock. here's any idea, get out of your bed (where you probably spend 99% of your life) tomorrow morning and go have a look in your local Asda. I dare say that if the store is more than a 100 yards away you will be forced into using your car (wouldnt want to expend more energy than is necessary would you?)

My condolences - I live in Coventry and would just like to apologise for how poor an experience you must be having...

Edit - I'm not being sarcastic either!

So I`m thinking, would be worth me going to my local Asda before I start work at 6am?

Well i think its just going to be sale signs and then the price will be right at the till, this could get frustrating so check your receipts guys!! in my store we seee no reason for changing the labels as stock wont be there long!

Crikey!

To me, there are only a small handful of things to do in Cov these days:

Go to a charity shop
Go to a bookies
Go to a 'pound shop'
Get accosted by anyone and everyone for 'spare fags' or 'spare change', (maybe its the huge tattoo on my head saying 'Ask me for spare fags and money' that is visible to the entire population of Coventry...except me)
Get inebriated.

I imagine that as a student, you'll be taking part in the last option. Ah well - as long as you're enjoying yourself, thats the main thing! (The night life isn't a patch on what it was in the early 90's though...sigh...)

Apologies for going off-topic there everyone else!
