Asda Longbenton have JD Bug scooters for £15. These usually retail from £55. Dont know if this a store or nationawide promotion, however well worth £15!

For the average child (or in my house girl) it makes no difference, other than the name is a bit cool if you are 7-11. If you are like my son, then a £10 nebulus would last 10 mins and probably impale you. He jumps and uses ramps and until he started 'really' scootering the JD Bug was a much stronger safer options. Now his scooter costs between £200-400. Which is insane but when you see what they are doing in the skateparks on them they need to be very strong.
I agree with above. We've gone through loads of cheapo scooters and this one we just bought (the street pro) looks very good build quality. Also you can change practically anything on it from brakes to handle bars etc.
looks like a jd bug eco scooter from the picture. Normally about £30 so still a great buy if you can find one.

Does anyone know if the store still has these or if any other Asdas in the North East have them?

Thanks

Store still had a few last night, you could ring them to find out and ask them to keep you one at customer service desk, thats what one of my friends did
I bought the last 2 in Asda Slough on 20th Aug
We took them on holiday with us and they got used every day
When we came to leave, neither would fold back down - release lever just doesn't work
I have emailed JDBug
Apart from that, 1 morning 1 of them had a stiff back wheel, but hubby fixed it easy enough
My sons have only used them to travel from A to Z
We bought on recommendation from a friend who's son used his same scooter at a skate park and had a nasty accident which he blames on the scooter
1 of my sons rode his again yesterday and had no issues with it
I did buy them coz I bought a ramp too and my younger son wanted a "proper" trick scooter
He's only 7, so rather than pay £60 for a "deck" model, i thought I;d get this and see it he sticks with it 1st, before I commit to spending more money
Apart from riding over the ramp, he's not done anything more agressive with the scooter, so can't comment on the durability, tho it does sell it as a stunt scooter on the box
It comes with a 6 month warranty
