I beg to differ, particularly if you're shopping in ASDA where the good stuff is expensive.

With the wine these things are exceptional value, probably a loss leader because they're so popular. A thoroughly depressing Valentine's Day meal, but for Friday night dinner and film? Really can't be beat for value for money, if you enjoy your free evenings.

I'm not a food critic but I'm a good cook, and I know what tastes good - and you can do so much worse than these meals for the price of a DomiNo's pizza. Most of the hate for them is snobbery IMO.

Yes you could, however some people work 12 hour shifts and commute a considerable distance whilst juggling child care and a household workload.

Because, unfortunately, some people like to call themselves foodies when all they do is have other people prepare food for them and they eat it.

Any idea what's included? Link doesn't take you to the offer. I want to know if they (unlike m&s) have a veggie option.

You are time poor thanks to social media and pointless distractions. Anyone remember that TV programme 'Can't Cook, Won't Cook'. That pretty much sums things up. Thankfully I can cook, although I could do more.

Ignore Valentines Day in February, it is the LEAST thoughtful and LEAST romantic day of the year.

Do your own dates, be spontaneous all through the year, not because all the commercial interests tell you to.
So i got the sexy lingerie deal from earlier, this meal deal, now i just need someone to post a deal for a girlfriend and i'm sorted

That's where planning ahead comes in. 20 mins prep. night before and a slow cooker a healthy and tasty meal with as much effort as ordering a take away!
Done that and more myself Adrian partridge 146. Plan your meals...20 minutes prep. On a night ...use slow cooker...no reason to buy ready made. Healthy and no additives. A great smell of home cooked food is a Bonus when you get home from your long day!
