Just doing an online shop and thought this was good value. The picture shows 6 in a pack and £1 per pack but 2 packs for £1.

Product Code 825648

Sainsburys have a 6 pack currently £1 half price from £2 so the Asda offer is half the price of Sainsbury's half price offer!

thanks for posting, voted hot :thumbsup:

voted hot, very good value and nice apples.

To my utter amazement, I bought 4 huge size British Coxes apples for £1.20 normal price from Vauxhall Rail Station fruit and veg store. Then I cannot why supermarket sell 6 tiny apples for £1.99 normal price and then when it is slashed to half price the weight of 6 tiny apples is a lot less than the 4 huge ones that I bought! So the Sainsbury offer pricing is a rip off supermarket price, Asda's is more reasonable at half of the half so you get 12 tiny apples for £1.

they taste great too! heat added

... rip off supermarket price ... .

The British seem to accept this - supermarkets rule the roost in this country - unlike other parts of the world.

It's a British disease perpetuated by government policies and lame consumers.

I have 3 apple, 2 plum and a cherry tree in my garden plus a little Greenhouse full of tomato plants - so it's not until the new year that I have to suffer rip off prices.

It makes my blood boil when the media suck up to the likes of Terry Leahy and Justin King spouting forth about the value they give the British public!!

mmm...apple crumble ::drool::

those apples look awfully small.i work on a pyo and most of them are about double that size,i think cox apples are minging anway,pippin+lambourne are the tasty ones

will be on offer in most places as its the peak apple season and thers so many of them:)

In the cardiff bay store the apples are the organic kids braeburn variety. much nicer imo as well

A Cox's apple in a good year is unbeatable, but good years are few and far between these days. A bit like claret and port really. Weather plays an important part.

cor that a good deal as i brought some last week from asda and they wher £1.60 something so 2 bags for £1 is a deal hot

not going to make me stop scrumping :thumbsup:
