Hot - I assume the sandwiches are of similar quality to the ones in Tesco's £2 meal deal so you're saving about 60p if you buy the crisps as well

Bought the cheese and onion on fri for £1 plus a water.

bread was dry round the edges, will stick to making my own

All of these cheap sandwiches are pretty disgusting - that's why they're cheap :whistling:

Better off putting the £ towards something that is actually edible.

It's a good deal, compared to what you'd normally need to pay. Cost price for Asda for a 500ml bottle of water probably isn't much more than 5p, though.

This is completely off topic but.. what is that little whistling smiley supposed to mean?

Do HUKD forum users end their sentences with a little whistling tune when they are speakingto somebody for real?

the m&s £1 sandwiches are pretty good
and they do £2 meal deals as well
will stick to that

all down to who made it and when it was made. I prefer M+S butties and my missus tried their £1 ones and didnt like them however she liked the Asda one.

Thye have crisp next to the butties for 20p so in all £1.20 for a light meal.

P.S. Still prefer a chicken nugget happy meal with coffee for £1.99 (remembering to tell them you dont want the box and toy)

Normally i couldnt knock m&s food, but the asda egg&cress sarnie is so much better than the £1 m&s one!

Boots have the best lunch deal

£3 for a sandwich or salad ...really nice ones too... i always get a something duck wrap (which if bought by itself is £2.80!) then any drink ranging from water to top of the line smoothies then a yummy snack... i always get a lemon cake mmmm

its a shame asda is too out of the way for me to go get some lunch... they should have some little stores like tesco does lol
