Asda Smart Price Dinner Set - reduced from £5 to £3 (40% off)

Found 15th Jan 2009
Having just bought this set from my local Asda store, I feel it is worth a post as it is very good value.
It comes boxed and consists of 4 dinner plates, 4 tea plates and 4 bowls. All pieces are white and generous in size.
The finish glaze on every piece I got is flawless, also they sell individual replacement pieces at 49p per item.

where was your asda
My local Asda is Corby but think this will be a nationwide price.
Also I should have said it is reduced to £3 from £5 (which was still cheap).
Bought one today for my work brill for that price also got my wee one a pink jacket for for nursery 3 quid

(forge in glasgow )
i already mentioned this yesterday under the kettle sunny scunny too
had them in robroyston glasgow too, also had kettles for £3.
Good spot, can't complain if you break them at this price.
Is this on their web site? I can't find it......
i got this set yesterday at the coventry store bargain
I think that is listed under the 'George at Home' section, then look under Dining. In the Dinner Sets section there is a Smartprice Dinner Set - Porcelain 12pcs listed for £3.00. Hopefully this is the same one.
Loads of these and kettles in Trowbridge at £3
This is a fab price!

Heat & Rep added!
i have these as my everyday dont care if it breaks set. Only thing is that use get marks from cutlery on them, but bargain anyway
got the £3.00 kettles in Asda govan branch (Glasgow)
Must be Nationwide as both the Kettle and the Dinner set are advertised in the Daily Express today.£3 each reduced from £5
They were £2.86 on Monday morning in Asda.
I have this set and can safely say that it is fabulous. Great quality, takes the knocks and washes up just fine. Looks a lot more expensive than it is and sits well on a properly laid table.
i havent got the dinner set but saw others mentioning the kettle! I have been using a smart price kettle now for nearly a yr! Fantastic quality, quick boil (a little noisy lol) and it hasnt furred up yet - which is a miracle in my hard water house!
Can anyone put picture up? Reason I'm asking is my son was given set for Uni and he's texted to say there's no bowls in it!!!! Lol
