Fantastic
For £35 I'd be more than happy to use that as a Sat Nav or just leave it in the glovebox for a spare
1GB RAM and the "go" edition may be limiting

Since it runs Android Go, you don't get turn by turn navigation with Google Maps. It just gives you a list of directions like you'd see if you were using the website to plan a journey on your PC. That may have since changed but my Android Go device from close to a year ago was definitely like this.

All the apps are 'Go edition' or lite versions of them. Most end up just being links to the mobile websites in reality. Sometimes you have the option to run the full versions but you will have full storage, dead battery, and terrible performance with apps freezing and crashing constantly.
Great burner phone....
Since when is 1 GB enough RAM to multitask?

I'm not an OAP or a kid and my 2014 1GB Chinese smart phone is OK for calls and texts, web browsing, taking photos, use as a sat nav and emails.

Maybe those people who look at their phones all the time need more expensive ones for whatever they do on them, but cheap phones will be adequate for users who are not so devoted to the gadgets.

It wasn't a dig at anyone.

Going by the 1gb memory and how intensive apps are now I was referring to how much it could handle for a moderate user...most in this range would be for a light user .

That is all.
Shows in stock for me
Just stay away from any Alcatel!
