I make porridge during the winter months, and I am always looking for my oats. I have never been very happy with what I have found, but whilst In ASDA I spotted their Wholegrain Scottish Oats. These are currently reduced to 59 pence for 500gms. This deal is based more on quality than price, and I accept these are not the cheapest. The end result is a vast improvement on some of the well known brands. Accordingly I think any porridge lovers should try these, and maybe vote this post up, after using them.

Asda also do 1kg for 75p which is good if you have oats several times a day for porridge /shakes etc. Possibly not as good in quality as these though.

Have you tried the 1kg box from Lidl? I think it's pretty tasty

Isn't all porridge oats wholegrain?

excellent!! cheers!!

I thought all porridge is whole grain
