Anyone who knows their running shoes will recognise these - they're the top of the range Asics Kayano shoes, which have earned their reputation among athletes as one of the very best running shoes around. Asics latest version of the Kayano is 20 and this one is 18, so I suspect massively reduced because it's not the current season's colour and probably had the odd technical tweak here and there but I suspect it's only subtle changes from the current version. If it's not broke...

It's obviously a great price but it's also quite unusual to see such a good shoe discounted with a great range of sizes and in a colour that won't make your eyes bleed. Having had an older pair of Kayanos that haven't put a foot wrong (badum-tish), I've just bought a pair without any hesitation. This is one of those deals that's too good not to share.

Sports Direct seem to have a huge sale on and there are a lot of bargains among the typical chavtastic attire and probably a good time to stock up on basic kit but these Kayanos really are a great deal for anyone who respects there's a difference between a trendy brand trainer and a quality running shoe, designed for people who participate rather than just watch sport

Will be a sad day when I retire my Kayano 19s, but I can be sure I'll be replacing them with another pair of Kayanos.

Fantastic support shoe.

Hot...very hot.

Thank you to the 11 people who have voted Hot so far. Bizarrely, as I type this it's just 2°. Not sure why there's a lot of voting cold going on? Surely the point of the site is to share great deals. If it's not of interest to you, quite appropriately for this deal, just jog on rather than voting cold. You're stopping others who are more interested from seeing it and all you'll achieve is driving people who do contribute, away from the site..

If you like the Kayanos, I'm guessing you're an over-pronator? If so, these in a 2E width might be of interest to you - noticed them when I was looking earlier: http://www.sportsshoes.com/product/asi3135/asics-gel~foundation-11-running-shoes-%282e-width%29/ Seems to be a decent company anyway with plenty of half-sizes etc - well worth a hunt through there

Good shoe but the RRP for is a bit optimistic considering the 20's don't sell for that.

Probably because its a duplicate, there is already a SD sale post.

Just because something doesn't sell for a certain price doesn't mean it's not the rrp, the kayano 20 don't sell for £140 but it is the rrp for them as well

And here I was thinking the point of this site was to vote based on the current selling price not the rrp, if it was based on rrp then all wii u would be hot as the rrp is cheaper than ps4/xbone

Would you pay full RRP for last seasons football shirt?
Quoting the original RRP of a trainer that has since had 2 successors. Given the choice (unless you have a particular affinity to the 18's) who would choose an older design than the new ones?

You're not and I don't dispute that. All I'm saying is you're not really making the saving you think you are.

It's a good price whatever model. I've been looking for a pair to replace my previous ones for a while. You can get cheaper but it's never in this range of sizes.

You can currently get a pair of Asics Gel Kayano 20's for £78.12 with free shipping from SportsShoes.com using the code FIT147
