  • Asics running shoes made to give maximum support with every step. With energised cushioning on the sole to help you run further whilst the SpEVA foam helps to reduce impact and minimise the strain.
  • Textile upper and lining.
  • Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL® Cushioning System - absorbs shock during the impact phase and allows for smooth transition, as well as improved forefoot flexibility which vastly improves performance and ride.
  • Impact Guidance System (I.G.S) to enhance the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off.
  • Flytefoam utilizes organic fibers that are embedded into the foam to offer lightweight resiliency.
  • Guidance line- vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency.
  • SpEVA® midsole - improves bounce-back characteristics and decreases midsole breakdown. Designed for comfort and extra cushioning.
  • SpEVA 45 - An SpEVA® insert in the forefoot provides additional shock absorption. An improvement upon traditional ASICS EVA compounds, balloon-like polymers quickly recover their shape to be ready to absorb the impact of each successive step.
  • Trusstic System reduces the shoe's weight while creating better stability in the midfoot.
  • AHAR® (Asics High Abrasion Resistance Rubber) outsole. Robust material placed across critical areas of the shoe for exceptional durability.

Lots of good offers on at the moment from M&M Direct if you place more than two orders a year it would be worth getting Premier 3279793.jpg

heat - £50-60 is the price point to buy these.
I'm on my 9th or 10th pair now!
I do lots of running and this is my go to shoe every time.
As I change my running shoes every 9-12 months, when they are on offer I often buy a couple of pairs to last 18 months or so. I have been known to buy two pairs in different colours and run in odd non matching shoes as a quirk too.

that's way too much for these!
wait for offers, amazon often have them at 60, asics online outlet have black Friday sales most years at around 50-60, and if you live near an outlet village they often have last years model at heavily discounted rates.

If you find em cheap, buy a few pairs. You won't regret it!

That’s not really expensive for a running shoe.

I noticed the £199 in description initially and £119 on the title. Good running shoes are expensive which £119 is not shocking but for especially this pair both rrp are ott.

Apologies
I’ve edited the £199 in the description the title £119.99 was correct.
Cheers needed a new pair, I have a hole forming in the top material. Usually buy kayano but thought I give these a shot after reading a review on the main differences, which were pretty little.

Apparently these are good for long distance running (not sure what long distance is classed as but I am 12 to 14 miles 3 times a week) so I will give them a shot see how they hold up

Always reluctant to buy a still expensive running shoe and have to pay for return postage. Your local running shop should be able to match this price on what is last year’s model.
Do some research on 'stability' and 'neutral' running shoes, before you jump in.
Don't bother with unlimited, if you can afford it buy 2 pairs (free delivery over £75) and a return label for £1.99, keep the pair that fits best and return the other.
a PE teachers dream
I was wondering what the sizing is like on Asics running shoes? I always buy half a size up whenever I buy Nike or Adidas.

With running shoes, you generally always want to buy half a size up compared to your normal shoe size.

It’s fine if you can wait but I needed them or I would have to abort marathon training!
FYI Sports Direct has these in store. If you’d like to try them before ordering from elsewhere

Yeah. I get it if you need them now, you just said you'd do it again a heartbeat, but now you're better equipped to not have to do it again
For over pronators these are a cheaper alternative to the mega expensive Kayano and do the job just fine. Those who think you only need to go into Sports Direct and pick up the first pair of Nike you see know nothing about running - the correct shoe makes all the difference. Had these been available in an 11.5 then I'd have had another pair.
Awesome. Bought. £59.99 with Inc delivery (I'm an unlimited delivery member), plus 3% TCB. BOOM!
Yep... number 1
Looks like a great deal how do these compare to the GT1000 8? New to running so not that clued up yet
I’m a beginner, these or asic promesa gel T842n. Thanks

How many miles do you get out of a pair if you are only changing them every 9-12 months?

At a rough guess over 7 -800? I run a least 5 miles 3 times a week, sometimes longer.
How do these compare to the Brooks adrenaline GTS. I was told by physio Brooks GTS or ASICS gt 1000/2000 are good for weak ankles. New to all this.

These are a very good support shoe. Good for over pronation and will give you support you need. Sadly support sometimes means it feels uncomfortable, but it's doing you good.
What's better if you had the money.... Keyano or these?
Great price - GT line for me have been a revelation over the years

Keyano. However for the extra, it really isn't worth it unless you are a serious serious runner.
A lot of people get carried away with shoes, thinking it will make running so much easier, but if you've got appropriate support, the rest is in the training.
Nice one. Going to order 2 pairs with returns label and keep the best fit
Great shoes, I ran two marathons in a week with these no bother. Steal at that price.
