But were never so cheap...

Can someone explain to me why these are women's running shoes as opposed to just running shoes ?

I thought people didn't bother with this brand anymore. Haven't we moved beyond all the pseudoscience of pronation support etc

What brands are better then? All I buy is Asics... Never worn more comfortable trainers

Don't waste your time ... some people on this site loves to comment but will never post any deal like Willie. This is really great price for good trainers - shame that only for womens version

I have run several marathons and half marathons, always in Asics running shoes. Definitely the most comfortable that I have tried and extremely light although I appreciate that most runners have their favourites. Not too sure what sort of 'pseudoscience' is being referred to above? Imaginary perhaps?

Asics make their women's running shoes narrower along the sole as women generally have narrower feet.

I just got the MENS gel oberon 8 - I can say from a few years of using various trainers that Asics are the best IMO - If you are a Woman, get these!!! HEAT OP

For those ladies with a slightly smaller foot, unable to benefit from this deal there are 3 pairs of women's Kayano 19 (Black) available for £39.95 (+£4.95 delivery). Size 3 only.

sitting wearing my Asics at this moment......fantastic trainers and will probably stick with this brand. Heat added

Are they dropping the prices on any men's shoes too? Asics are bloody good!

Women typically have a broader forefoot and narrower heel and also have different pelvic angle when running.

More info here from an ASICS consultant.

Nothing wrong with the Asics brand - I don't wear asics for Road running, but they are still one of the top 5 brands used by serious runners. Nice price

Good price; about £80 at Sportshoes.com. Was looking for new ones for my daughter for next school year.

well there you go, I knew 'generally' they had a different shape foot compared to a man therefore ladies running shoes ARE a different shape compared to the equivalent mans model.

Womens shoes are narrower than mens shoes!!

These are never £145, the last pair I bought in February was £90 in all black, so I suppose this is good for £55 if you don't mind dressing fluorescenty.

K21 probably is the best and not the one of best trainer I ever tried. However, just looks terrible... I think they should really pay some attention on product design.

I actually think that they look alright, the Gel-Noosa on the other hand...

Ah the pseudoscience is here at last. If you can read that link and keep a straight face while all around you crack up laughing, then yours is the snake oil. And, which is more, you'll be a pseudoscientist my son

If you can explain my obvious 'placebo' effect that supportive Asics trainers give me when running then I'll buy into your nonsense.
For a while I ran in Asics GT 1130's, then I tried some NB 'Neutrals'. I went from running 5-8 miles a day to about 2 miles. So I went back to my 1130s and upgraded to 1150s soon after. I went back up to my 5-8mile distances with ease.
Neutral trainers give me severe shin pain. 5 weeks after my experiment, I did my first and only half marathon in 1h50m. So pronation/over pronation support is genuine and not Pseudosience.

I'm a runner and I don't care in the slightest how my trainers look as long as they feel good and I can run injury free, I'm sure most other runners will agree.

Normally I'd agree but I also wanted to provide an example for others why it isn't a load of nonsense

Asics make good running schools, and the gel kayano is good. However, please make sure this is suitable for your running style before buying - I believe some asics shoes are meant for runners who over-pronate. Wearing these shoes will be bad for your feet if you don't over-pronate.

Check on the Asics website, or better, go into an Asics store and do a free analysis.
