Yes I have the red one which raises money for charity.

Wow brill deal thanks

I use my amex for all the daily shopping, groceries, etc. Have got enough points to take first class long haul and just pay taxes

Which supermarket gives you points/Amazon vouchers> I've had my [BritishAirways] AMEX for years to clock up air miles, but I had no idea about other points/vouchers.

I've used it to get cashback on these ASOS type offers a few times... great little perk!

Me too... but sometimes even with taxes only the ticket prices are more expensive than buying from other airlines (never quite figured out why)

I should perhaps have said I have the AMEX rewards card which accumulates points for every £ spent on it. You can then chop the points in for stuff, I generally get Amazon vouchers as I tend to shop there a lot like many others

You mean Platinum Charge card? Yes these offers work fine on them. Although I'd never get anything from ASOS.

D'oh, literally ordered something the other day. Would return and re-buy but bought on the 25% off day

Ah poo - spent £30 the other day! Bah! Send back and reorder I think! ^_^

How can they afford all these statement credits multiplied over all these offers and over all the various cards enrolled in the offers?? No other financial institution does this...not that i'm complaining, of course!!

Money laundering anyone? lol

Amex platanium cashback card may not included? or maybe this offer is only for selected customers?? I don't get this offer

Amex charges an exorbitant rate to shops (around 3%+ of the whole transaction), that's how they are able to give this type of benefits to their customers. But there's not free lunch, that means that shops need to raise their prices to be able to pay those fees. And this is on top of what the merchant needs to pay to their bank to process a card payment (which is roughly 1.5% for credit cards)

This is one reason why lots of shops in the UK don't accept amex... and hopefully next year there will be a new law that will cap the rate to a 10th of what amex charges now: out-law.com/en/…ap/

Disclaimer: I HATE amex, because of the extra pressure it puts on small merchants.

Spent over £300 this week on Asos!

Yep, customer services are excellent and they're always running offers like this. When Halo 4 came out, made about £90 from playing a video game!

About time I got an Amex! Not been a fan because of limited acceptance but can't knock these deals!!

Would this work with an asos code?

if you get rejected by amex, can you keep applying?

I have the virgin Atlantic Amex. Have earned 2 upper class returns to las Vegas in the last 2 years.

Would this work with an asos code?

Yeah, as long as the amount you pay is over £30 on the card.

i know but still one can sign up for it now and then not use it until end of feb, so potentially getting some cheap stuff on the sale and knocking further 10 quid off

Hmm. Not showing on my account. It's a nectar amex, maybe that's why?
