Aspect 1 Back packing tent from Wild Country £60 @ Terra Nova

I have been looking for a back packing tent I can use when I go cycle touring, for a while now. The tent above appears to be highly rated by "Live for the outdoors" although their reveiw is for the two person model. There is no discenable difference apart from the fact it is for 2 people rather than one.

Terra Nova who own Wild Country have just reduced the price of the Aspect 1 to £60 which is a bargain for a quality 3/4 season tent. Its presently £118 on Amazon.

You can see it being erected on Youtube youtube.com/wat…xFE and also an other excellent review of the Aspect 2 youtube.com/wat…r6Y.

The terra Nova site also has a numer of other tents in their clearance section which may be of interest to someone. If you are wanting one of their full price tents they are also offering 30% off if you part ex your old tent. Some bargains to be had.

I had short listed the Aspect 2 but at the price of £60 I could not resist the Aspect 1. Mine should hopefully arrive shortly in time for all the good weather!!!

Definite deal this, parent company is terra nova as stated, and for under 2kg for £60, well, say no more, voted hot

very good price with reduction , have the zephyros 2 from terra nova. Heavy though for a one man tent but for £60 well worth it ...

Did either of you buy this tent? What do you make of it? If you have it, and no longer want it, I'd definitely be interested in buying it from you.
Many thanks

Either of those would be the holy grail - though they cost far more than I am willing to spend on a tent right now :). I'm probably going to opt for the Wild Country/Terra Nova Zephyros 1 at around £85, or the MSR Hubba at ~£180. I did pick up a Vango Blade 100 the other day which I thought would do the job...but it simply isn't going to ventilate owing to the design. Definitely feels far too claustrophobic.
The manufacturer's are heading in the right direction though - tents continue to get lighter and drop in price. I still think it is a shame that Terra Nova have stopped manufacturing the Aspect 1. It is a really nice tent format - and that £60 price was an unbelievable steal!

My mate uses the wild country and he really likes it but i have heard (no personal experience though) that is you are tall it may be a bit of an issue? Worth checking out in a store first if you are able to.

Yer a hilleberg is def something to aim for...i dont have one yet because of the cost but one day... lol

daveswildcamping on youtube has sold me on the hillebergs, they dont half take some punishment, but I dont think you will go far wrong with a terra nova / wild country

p.s. are you on youtube by any chance? there is a thriving outdoors community on there, wildcampers etc
