This deal was posted over a month then the laptop went OOS now back in stock. Good specs good reviews. Hp 250 G5 has similar specs but is more expensive now (was £400 at one point) so this is a good alternative. Hope it helps someone

Where? I can't find a Link anywhere

Doesn't look that a great a spec to me for £450 - I'd expect more for it to be a good deal.

acer.. (_;)

Bought one 4 wks ago to replace very old acer 5630. Bit of bloat ware but easy to remove. Amazing start up/shut down and flies along. No light indicator for caps lock, caught me on inputting password no big deal though nice fast laptop. Heat from me.

By all means buy it if you want, but it doesn't get me excited...at all. Partly because of Acer being the brand. I'd probably either compromise on the spec very slightly and get a better brand , or spend slightly more and get a better brand with similar spec. This is not label snobbery, I've tried to overcome my concerns on laptop brands a couple of times and always wished I hadn't. Not a fan of paying for names at all, but I do want quality.

So what would you recommend (with links if possible) for around £600 +/- £50? With graphics gtx 940mx or higher, minimum 15.6" IPS screen, backlit keyboard (I use laptop a lot at night) with i7 or i5 processor or AMD equivalent? I've been looking for weeks and one thing or another is missing off the list or reliability is an issue.

looks great for the price to me. Hard to find anything in this area with full HD. Don't think you could do much better. But maybe Black Friday will throw up some surprises. Last year was fairly underwhelming though. If the reviews are positive I don't see anything wrong with it.

If you're quick you can still get the Dell 15 7000 gaming laptop with the 960m for about £650 at the end if the top cash back tracks which is what I just bought, ends today. Otherwise I don't have a better suggestion right this second that meets all your needs but I think there's a bit of a lack of good offers generally right for this moment if I'm honest, so I'd bide your time

OOS now. Apparently, this has an i5 7200 processor, not 6200. My order was delivered today. The laptop is quick, light, does have backlit keyboard and screen is good. Overall a good buy.
