Still not worth it with it's DRM

It gotta be worth a chance for such a great game. Can the DRM be that bad?

OOOh yes, very bad. To play you must maintain a constant connection, any break and your game crashes, no save nadda.

A couple of days after release the Ubisoft servers were down and ALL customers who purchased THEIR games were unable to play.

I have posted a lot on this matter and may come accross as negative (I'm not really), but trust me, this is a good game that does not deserve a purchase. The consumer must make a stand guide these companies to a "workable" solution.

... and that is for a single player game - no valid excuse for it to even need an internet connection, nevermind a constant one...

does the drm really make it not worth installing?

Wow, what a stupid solution. I bought it for PS3 and it was a good game, glad I didn't get the PC one now, I usually do. Even worse than the "you wouldn't steal a handbag" rubbish you have to skip through on DVDs.... it's always the genuine customers that come off worst, pirates bypass the protection leaving less incentive to actually buy in future. Backwards logic.

Ow, nasty. I do have a very stable net connection though. Any rumours of them changing their policy? They must be losing a LOT of money.

Interesting to note that Silent Hunter is also v cheap now, and Settlers is also being pre-ordered very cheap - obviously the price reflects the crap'tastic DRM.

Hopefully, ubisoft will rethink their retarded DRM now.

I read that Silent Hunter 5 is an awful game also.
