according to the site it is?

have not seen an official press release on it being a launch title though
great price heat added
Cheers OP! Missed out on the code, but still a great price. I'm guessing it's a mistake, or a big push to get AC established on the Wii U? I could see an AC collection incoming...

Haven't even got my Wii U preordered yet, Zavvi upped the price just before I was about to order!

This is why I love this site

Many thanks OP

you could cancel and re-order but I think you need to contact them and ask for them to cancel it for you. That's what I had to do last time
Not interested in AC at all but this is a fantastic price. In addition you could use your £10 off to get Rayman Legends for £24.99 or ZombiU for £29.99.

Never knew they sold their own games. Massive heat OP.

Anyone have any idea how you get the £10 off your next order?

It doesn't seem to say on their item page. Maybe you get a code sent after they ship the game.

Well, if anyone works it out, chuck it up here, if I find out, as I ordered this game also, I'll spread the word too.

Anyway, heat added, hopefully the WiiU version is good!
Cheers OP, have ordered 1 incase the WiiU actually turns out to be alright...
How comes on the xbox and PS3 its far more expensive when the quality is no less? I understand the PC partially because theres less things to have to do, but the Wii-U is no different to an xbox or ps3.

It looks as though Ubisoft really like the Wii U and are trying to get their brands established on it. They probably chose AC to be cheap because the Wii U players have no way of playing the previous games, assuming they do not have a PS3 or Xbox.

PS: This is a stupid assumption but it makes sense

The standard edition is £39.99 on their site so I am not sure why this edition is so cheap. I doubt it is because of the lack of AC1-2. This is set in a completely different time and place so I am not sure that not playing the previous games will be that big of a deal.
It will as otheriwse you won't get the overarcing storyline. The story of AC it not just about the assassin you play as, its also about a normal guy reliving genetic memory.
I have played the other games on the XBOX but having seen videos of the Wii U version on youtube I think it could be pretty good on the Wii U and also it will be interesting graphically to see how this stacks up against the XBOX and PS3, ordered and thanks for the heads up/code.
This is a stellar find, well done OP. perhaps it's a pricing error? or sly marketing tactics (probably not) Ordered regardless, heat added.
I haven't even ordered a Wii U yet but this is really tempting. It's £60 on Amazon! Thanks.

Edit - ordered. I guess I should get on pre-ordering a Wii U now...

This is obviously a misprice, lets hope they stick to it. Surprised this isn't a lot hotter.
Nope, offer appears to have gone now, back to £59.99. Must have been a pricing error.

I need to do the same. Unfortunately I am trying to use £50 in nectar points and have just noticed that I can't use them on sainsburys entertainment, as I don't have a local sainsburys that stocks consoles. Hopefully Amazon will drop their price.

I have played AC2 and Brotherhood but neither of the others. How do the stories from 1, 2 and 3 tie in together?
Ps3 version bear in mind gets over 1 hour exclusive content... Not including any stuff unlocked if you have the Vita version as well.
Score!
Just got an e-mail from Ubisoft saying that due to unprecedented demand and limited stock, they have cancelled my order. They gave me a £20 voucher for the trouble, which isn't too bad I suppose - but considering the regular edition of AC3 is now £55 on their site, it's hardly much of a difference.

my order is still on for preorder, for assassins creed 3 join or die edition. mind you i dont like there customer services been trying to cancel rayman legends for over a month and they still havent cancelled my preorder of rayman!!
Mine has been cancelled and refunded, such a shame as this deal was great. I'm damning the greedy folks who purchased more than one copy for profit.

Got a cancellation email, with a £20 voucher to boot! I'd rather get Rayman for £20 than get AC3 anyway. I know others who ordered who haven't had cancellation emails yet, and also some have had cancellations but no voucher yet.
I have had the same, cancellation and £20 discount and I will probably do the same on Rayman but annoyed about the cancellation at such short notice all the same.
Same here, Think I will leave AC3 till the price drops now
i had the cancellation/£20 off voucher like everyone else but today received a dispatch order with ups tracking..?
