As mentioned above, this game uses very aggressive DRM. You need to be connected to the Internet at ALL times to play. If your connection drops for a second, the game will freeze until it's back again. In practice I imagine this doesn't happen but worth bearing in mind. All saves are stored online as well. That means you can play on any internet connected machine (no DVD needed once installed) but also means that you can't play offline at all.

Worth bearing in mind but a good price for the higher quality PC release of AC2.

Thanks to the DRM, I wouldn't get this, even if it costs £5!
Haven't voted on this deal btw...

No probs - I can totally see your point. I was all set to get this but not so sure now. Tempted to grab the 360 version. Crazy as the PC version has full on 1080p resolution and will be the best version to play.

They have shot themselves in the foot big time.

No way I would buy this, if ubisoft go bust (which they probably will given their latest stance on DRM and a long track record of releasing beta games & not patching them properly) then you won't be able to play it any more! Money down the drain. Nice.

Bizarre, they are actaully making the cracked version a more palatable choice! You'd of thought the industry would learn since 'spore' being the most pirated game of all time!

I reckon they are thinking short term profits. It's still not properly cracked and so they have had a good couple of weeks of sales due this. It could take quite a while for the crackers to beat it. More money in the bank..

I hate the DRM. Don't get me wrong. But I would buy it for a fiver.

I am hoping the same will happen with Splinter Cell Conviction in a few weeks!

That is set to use the same DRM as well.. Which is really annoying.
