£1 --- Price drop ..Product description
The year is 1765. As the events leading up to the American Revolution heat up in the north, Spanish forces plan to take control of Louisiana in the south - but they have yet to reckon with Aveline, a deadly Assassin who will use every weapon and ability in her arsenal to win freedom for her land and her people. Whether silently eliminating her enemies with slow-motion chain kills or luring them into deadly traps, Aveline strikes mortal fear into the hearts of those who stand in her way. As an Assassin, Aveline soon finds herself on an unforgettable journey that will take her from the crowded streets of New Orleans to voodoo-haunted swamps and ancient Mayan ruins. She will play a pivotal role in the turbulent birth of a new nation as she fights for freedom, not only for herself, but for her fellow citizens.

  • As Aveline, an Assassin of mixed French and African heritage, you must use your skills, instinct and weaponry - including a machete, poison-dart blowpipe, and duelling pistols - to hunt down and eliminate your enemies.
  • Feast your eyes on a richly detailed world, thanks to an all-new game engine featuring groundbreaking physics, animations and a new combat system. Outmaneuver your enemies in the Louisiana bayou with an innovative Tree Navigation system, then eliminate them from above with deadly precision. Dive deep underwater as you search for lost Mayan treasures, but stay alert; the hostile wilderness and humid swamps are full of menacing animals.
  • Take full advantage of PlayStation Vita system touch pads, motion sensor and built-in camera to execute slow-motion chain kills, pickpocket unsuspecting victims and pursue your enemies in a canoe. This is an immersive experience designed purely for PlayStation Vita system.

Great price! Have tried with multiple cards but it's not allowing payment Anyone else got this issue?
I love all the AC games - the most recent 2 are masterworks. AC3, however, is the only one I can't get into. It's a massive game, admittedly, but it's just one tedious, confusing grind. I've put about 30 hours in and am only at about 20%, but unlike AC Odyssey or Origins, it isn't a fun experience. For those who care, the graphics are better, but as I say the game itself is just no fun.

Thanks for your insight.

I remember hearing about and seeing the first AC and was hyped and loved it. Interactive in-engine cutscenes! It had a cool character, gameplay, graphics and story! AC2 was good but I played it till completion and, like most open world games it dragged, as it was full of pointless fluff. I’ve not really got back into them the same. I had Brotherhood, and I’ve played a bit of Syndicate. AC3 looked good to me, but I never got it. I’ve got a 360 copy cheap so I’m going to try that. Origins isn’t to my taste, but Odyssey looks good. All said and done, I can’t be bothered any more. I don’t get much game time so I’d rather spend it playing other, better games. (e.g. Rise of Tomb Raider, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Red Dead R1, then RDR2)
All those games you listed - the superb Tomb Raider reboot, RDR, Horizon, GOW are all top of the class games, and I would class Odyssey in that class too. The older AC games up to Unity or Syndicate (I can't remember exactly) were pretty much the same game, same mechanics but in different settings. The series seriously improved with Black Flag, and unlike a lot of people I absolutely loved Origins. Loved it. Oddysey is like Origins but even better, with even more to do. Having played Odyseey, going back to AC3 seems like a tortuous grind.
I still have the DLC element of Odyssey to play, but as a lot of people find, have a huge backlog of games still to play. As soon as I complete something I end up buying 2 more games. This morning I bought Resi Evil HD on PSPlus - not because I'm desperate to play it, but because it was £4 and at that price I felt I couldn't refuse.

I’m a bit bored of Rise of Tomb Raider. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great. I’m just bored of it lol. I’ve plenty of others too. Quantum Break, Watchdogs (1&2), Ghost Recon Wildlands, etc etc. My pile of shame. I don’t want to add any more to it. I’ve been doing so for years without actually playing any

Do you think you’ll ever play RE HD?

I'll do my best to play Resi HD. Thing is, I tend to play new games for a couple of hours, think "yes that is great" and then leave them. My XBox Game Pass runs out in May so I'm trying to play as many of those games on there as possible. I've recently completed Outer Worlds (sort of like Fallout, but easier), A Plague Tale (brilliant - so much better than I was expecting) and funnily enough Rise of The Tomb Raider (which I loved, I have to say). I'm trying to get into Monster Hunter Worlds but it seems like the type of game you have to sink hours and hours into, just to understand what's going on.

I did the same with Game Pass, played Snake Pass, Jurassic World Evolution, then moved house and haven’t been able to play much else!

That’s the other reason I haven’t started games like The Witcher. I want to fully immerse myself and not have another games that I want to play lol.
If you buy the gold edition of AC:Odyssey you get these free with it. On sale as far as I know right now on PS Store. Not a bad deal if you like AC as you get all the DLC for Odyssey as well. Massive game, perfect for lockdowns lol.
