Ordered. Can’t go wrong at this price for the gold edition. Thanks, heat added
Cheers OP. Too difficult to pass up on this. Really wanted the Dawn of the Creed edition, but mainly for the steelbook.

It was originally £35 on black friday, I was working at the time and thought I would order it when I get home. How wrong was I - sold out

Went on sale again for £40 a few days later so nabbed it straight away. Both deals were from Ubisoft store. Glad I waited a few weeks and didn't buy it on release
Just to put it into perspective, the gold edition has about £70-75 rrp value, as it's the base game, deluxe edition upgrade, and season pass all in one.
Fantastic value, now I wish I had waited and not got the game at launch haha but on the other hand, it's a great game so money well spent!

Ohhhhh yeah I remember the ubisoft deals, they sold out quick and I held back thinking origins would get bad reviews = low price
Ordered. Been waiting to bite.. You would be silly not to bite at this price!
This game is bang average, but looks fantastic, the detailed landscapes and environments feel full of life, but it's let down by everything else and just silly in places.

The levelling system is abysmal and removes any sense that you're some great assassin, sneak up behind someone and if not high enough level a blade into the side of their neck from behind isn't enough to kill them. what.....

This system also means a Lion for example, you can kill in a few hits in one area of the map, and then another area the Lion can kill you in one hit. depending on the level you are, and the level the Lion is. It's a terrible crowbarred attempt at an RPG.

They should have kept the creatures levels consistent, and threw the leopards and other animals at you for lower difiiculty areas
instead of this ridiculous levelling system. Which effectively is just a grind.

You can scale sheer vertical walls with ease, even large rock faces, yet when the game gives you a puzzle suddenly you can't climb some walls, despite the fact that on one of them there were vertical wooden beams with footholds on it that my nan could have climbed up. but the mighty assassin... nah ..."i've got to find another way around" he utters to himself.....

Most of thie game, you are running around doing errands. Kill him, get this, go speak to this person. rinse and repeat with little variation

The AI is pretty poor, and most of the time groups of bandits are wandering around a complex aimlessly guarding a chest with a wooden shield inside that i already have 15 of....... all stored away, along with the 58 blades i;m carrying around on my back... somewhere.

a bandit will happily watch you murder the commander, captain and 5 other soliders in like 2 swings and leave them all burning on the floor, and still come at you on their own giving it large .... really

Your eagle friend can see through walls and even underground.....

Also, you;re meant to be an assassin, but the game doesn't reward stealth very well, kill someone with the hidden blade and you get 10xp, slash them up in a combat and you get much more.

I've been stuck inside rock faces, walls and frequently stuck in combat bug and random crashes.

Big dissappointment for me

Not so epic then
Got this edition some time ago, gold edition new on ebay for £40.00 physical disc(offer)xbox. in my opinion this is a great game and am looking forward to the next dlc and then playing through on Plus mode, and yes, I believe this game is epic!! I also think that the ubisoft club is a great idea for getting extra gear as you progress the game.
Anybody got their copy yet? Mine is still being processed... been like 4 days now.
I've ordered mine on Friday evening and it was delivered today. Even though it was advertised as "new" I received an unsealed copy, plastered with grainger games stickers
Ordered on the 13th, arrived today. Even though my invoice shows I ordered the Gold edition I have instead received the standard edition. I attempted to contact them via phone but no answer (assume because it is the weekend) so have submitted a complaint through their web form for now.
Update: Great customer service from Grainger Games, issue sorted now.
