I'm expecting better from this one been in development for years and got a whole new system and levelling up. Apparently it's missions are more like the witcher style too.

Gotta love people with commitment - tried all of the games (including this one) and in his carefully considered opinion it is rubbish.

I think I'll decide after I've played it. Once it's released. In a couple of weeks. Once it's finished downloading of course. Then updated. Then I'll decide.

And the modern football cancer franchise endorsed by the criminal cartel in Zürich or either of those two big FPS annual reskins ain’t?

You could even aim that at GTA or a whole host of Nintendo’s IP’s if you want to go down that route.

Unity was the straw that broke the camel’s back for so many people, nearly me included, but I think Syndicate was a fairly decent comeback the following year.

Having had a year off from the annual milking exercise to take a step back and analyse things a bit more seems to have had a positive effect. A complete overhaul of the combat system and entirely new game mechanics look very promising in the plethora of extensive tasters Ubi have released to numerous media outlets, add to that this has been the work of the team behind Black Flag I get this feeling that Origins may well surprise a lot of people.

I don't buy battlefield, Call of duty or FIFA games either. All regurgitated rubbish year after year, often with DLC to sell you items you had in the previous game back to you.

The fact that the black flag team are responsible for this doesn't exactly inspire confidence, that game was terrible.

But if this is your thing, you crack on. I'll stick to decent games, like Nioh, Dark Souls etc.

GTA are actually a fantastic set of games, I remember playing the original back in the day, all the recent dlc for GTA has been free, they are doing it right. The likes of EA, Ubisoft etc are avoided completely by me.

I haven't voted hot or cold by the way. A games merits have little to do whether it's the cheapest price or not.

Ordered it from here at 39.99

GTA has free dlc?

Expansions and updates, they have been free no?

New content. That's all dlc is, some companies choose to rinse people, others don't. I've no problem with paying for expansion packs (it's what we called it back in the day, where £20 would get you a new games worth of content), but paying £5 for a gun pack is a joke, for example.

As they say each to their own and all that. Assassins Creed had become stale but there has been some amazing games in the series and I actually think Blag Flag was one of the better ones. I don't like to write off games before they are even complete personally. I won't be rushing to pre order it but I am hoping the extra time put into it will produce something better.

Free shark cards, where from? The free in game dough some hacker gave me millions of in the early early days of GTA Online got snatched back by a Rockstar sweep a few weeks later, along with another good half a mill I earned legitimately from racing so I'm struggling to get to grips with how you claim weapons, vehicles and upgrades they want you to buy shark cards for are free

What expansions? Last time I looked Los Santos and Blaize County was exactly the same size they were the first day I played it on day one on last gen more than four years ago now.

The last time they had proper DLC was the previous GTA and you had to pay for the ballad of Gay Tony and the biker one too. I'm not sure why you seem to love Rockstar so much that you choose to have a selective memory and view but it's not accurate one

I'm an old fxxx too so I also played the top down GTA back in the day and I agree with you that they are great games but they're still based on the same model all previous titles in the franchise have been.

Assassin's Creed lost it after Revelations. The Desmond story made it... It tied the narrative together.

Runny Jumpy gameplay is all over the place: Tomb Raider, Uncharted, Prototype, infamous...

The story matters as much as gameplay. Assassin's Creed USP went with Ezio/Desmond

I hope this brings some of that back

Oh yeah. Stop pre ordering, that trend is what makes developers think they can release an unfinished product

Don't know why this was cold for this price on release and this game is amazing
