Great trilogy, AC2 was a massive improvent on the first game, but everything that followed aside from Black Flag has been terrible. The progression from here has been poorly handled by Ubisoft.

I actually think these games should have gone the other way and been a bit more linear, or smaller open world environments similar to Hitman. Greater emphasis on the story and gameplay.

Instead Ubisoft messed it all up with the way they handled Desmond, made everything bigger, added more pointless side quests, and turned it into some weird form of an RPG, whilst recycling elements from the Far Cry series. Can't stand the company, they should be doing better with IPs like Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell and AC.

Crazy to think a Japanese man played Ezio.

Monstrous deal, heat added. Ezio's speech end of AC2 is still epic:

Silenzio. Silenzio. Twenty-two years ago, I stood where I stand now – and watched my loved ones die, betrayed by those I had called friends. Vengeance clouded my mind. It would have consumed me, were it not for the wisdom of a few strangers, who taught me to look past my instincts. They never preached answers, but guided me to learn from myself. We don't need anyone to tell us what to do; not Savonarola, not the Medici. We are free to follow our own path. There are those who will take that freedom from us, and too many of you gladly give it. But it is our ability to choose – whatever you think is true – that makes us human... There is no book or teacher to give you the answers, to show you the path. Choose your own way! Do not follow me, or anyone else

Replayed AC2 and Brotherhood on the PS5 earlier this year, both still hold up great for 2007 and 2010 PS 3 games! Platinumed AC2 a second time, more than a decade later, still couldnt get 100pc sync on Brotherhood, which annoyed me a second time but epic game. Didn't play Revelations but platinumed that as well on the PS3 back in the day.

Even getting AC2 and Brotherhood and ignoring the shorter Revelations for just over a tenner is a steal! (edited)

These still hold up as fantastic.
It's a crying shame what became of AC after Unity.
It's not to say Valhalla etc are not "good" games, they're just not in the same spirit as the earlier titles.
