Does game still suffer from poor frame rate?

Close enough to the £10 mark, ordered (PS4 Version). Also ordered Assassin's Creed Rogue for PS3, so got a lot of hours to spend in the Animus lol

this game is very much playable, I can attest as I bought the gold edition at launch which was just laughable as a triple a release.

never the less ubisoft gave me a choice of free titles of which I chose farcry 4 so by the time I returned to unity the only real issues were to do with the new movement system and how finicky it tended to be..

I've managed a full play through an exploration but cannot bring myself to play the multiplayer which is easily ruined by lack of knowledge or poor skill.

this isn't a bad price considering its a new copy, but at this price reduction you could see it being given away for free in the not too distant future.

have added heat.

Ive just got it in the past week and it plays great i think personally , slight bit of character pop up in the distance but other than that i haven't had any problems with it.
I've spent the last 6 months playing Black, Unity and now Syndicate back to back. Out of these 3 Unity was my favourite. I know it was plagued with bugs at launch, but it's played perfectly for me, for the 50+ hours I played on it. Syndicate on Xbox One has frozen my console 3 times in 3 weeks.

As an AC game, i thought it looked fantastic, busy environments and stunning visuals. Something that's somewhat lacking in Syndicate (which looks a bit last gen). It also has one of the best AC fighting systems (nothing like the ridiculous fighting in Syndicate - 120 hit combos, fighting at ridiculous speed). It was also challenging, which Syndicate isn't.

Finally, this is the best AC executed multiplayer in the entire series. Play with others to complete co-op missions, it's absolutely great. Bargain at this price.

I'm currently playing it on PS4, frankly I didn't expect to be enjoying it as much as I am - that's to say it's a good game now that the bugs have been patched out. No problems with framerate.
I have all consoles. Which is the better format for this game?

nice thanks for the quick opinion!
Thanks for posting! And thanks for all the opinions on his which convinced me to buy. I'm a sucker for all the alternate history stuff in these games (AC3 was actually my fav) so I think I'm gonna love this! Especially for 11 quid!

Are you saying that Unity has better graphics than Syndicate?

Not much between the consoles. You'd expect the PS4 to edge it but probably not by much.

I'm playing this on PC. Had it since launch but only just managed to have a good go at it. I'm also playing Assassin's Creed Rogue as a direct comparison.

Unity looks stunning on PC. Yes it is a little glitchy but its clearly way too ambitious for the consoles. I've tried it on my Xbox One and the frame rate looked horrid.

Syndicate is supposed to be much better - but they weren't quite as ambitious.
Had some credit and cost me £5. Excellent.

Sounds crazy I know, but personally I think Unity looks better than Syndicate.

Not crazy at all. Either Unity was too much for the consoles or Ubi's engine isn't great. It's probably a bit of both.

They couldn't afford another Unity release so played it safer with Syndicate. A wise choice given Syndicate is being much better received.

I'll take your word for it. I just hope Syndicate's as good as AC2. That game was a masterpiece in my opinion, mainly because of the fantastic story, voice acting and music.

AC2 was incredible. Getting towards the end of Syndicate now, and it's not redeemed itself. Cheesy characters, everything too repetitive, no multiplayer, no connection to the legacy / story arc to speak of, the most ridiculous fighting mechanism I've seen on any AC game by a mile, random slow downs making it unplayable, random freezes requiring a restart, and it's too easy.

Oh man, that's a massive shame. I've never been as immersed in an AC game and engrossed with its characters as I have with AC2. Had high hopes for this one... though I'll still buy it eventually lol. Anyway, really appreciate the info, mate.
