I fail to to see the correlation between a 3yr old forum spat and todays price

I am flabbergasted by this conversation, what an arse. I do love the game tho.

How difficult this is comparing to Project Cars 2? I found Project Cars 2 too difficult which I do not enjoy

I would consider them both a simulator game, so you will probably have the same experience.

I do enjoy GT sport a lot but project cars 2 is just too unforgiving on mistakes.

Get this. The amount of mods, which are mostly free, is insane

Yes its a sim but the only way you are going to get better is to play more
Funnily enough I bought this before Xmas, but have only just got round to giving it a go. I love both PCars games but also wanted to be able to drive Castle Combe, my local track.

OMG how awkward is it to get the wheel setup correctly in AC!! Taken me ages, and the FFB feel when finally able to drive is very poor, lots more setting up required no doubt.

Both PCars worked out of the box for me and felt great too ... such a shame AC can't do the same.
Might just have to go back to GT Legends for my Castle Combe fix ... that game is old but again much easier to set up than AC IMO.

That's strange, I don't remember any glaring issues with mine, and Force Feedback is quite aggressive.

What wheel setup have you got? I use a Thrustmaster TX 458.
Bought the base game and a few dlc packs in the sale and it's a decent SIM.

My only issue with it and it's kinda ruining the game is the ridiculous understeer that no matter how much config I try and change it doesn't help.

Tried both controller and kb and unless there is a glaringly obvious way of driving that I'm not doing it's almost unplayable and not much fun going around bends at 50kmh

AC has better physics, PC2 is more accessible. They both benefit hugely from using wheel/pedals IMO, and both work in VR.

I'm using a T500 RS. Chose T500 from the menu, but still had to set up all the driving controls ... not to mention invert the pedal axies. Not had to do that in any game for many years
FFB is just a very strong force for me with little variation when driving.

More time configuring is obviously needed ...

EDIT: Oh and my button box and 2 shifters which use Xpadder I can't use as Xpadder and AC are not getting along nicely

You can get it as a Mod, it's not in it by default.
