Astra 1.7 Diesel Sports Tourer £12499 @ Peter Vardy

Vardy's have just emailed me about yet another huge UK exclusive offer. The Astra with a list price of £20,000 is for sale with delivery mileage at 38% off.

Following my own quick web search of the competition on Autotrader it looks like it is genuinely the cheapest in the country.

A fantastic bargain if you are looking for an estate car (which I am not currently, but I do have a regular Astra hatchback and its a brilliant car.)

Not to my taste but definitely a hot deal
This is going to reach the highs
Brilliant
No offence OP but why do I smell a Rat.

I wonder if just one of these cars will ever get driven off the forecourt at £12,499.

Road Tax -- it will be hidden somewhere.
Preparation Fee -- I'm surprised Currys didn't come up with that one when trying to flog you a video recorder.
Metallic Paint!!! -- That's extra -- "I don't want metallic Paint." -- "Sorry, we've only got metallic models!"
4 doors -- That's extra! -- "but a 2 door model will be fine," I hear you cry. Ha,ha; see above.
Good deal but not exclusive to Vardy`s, Sherwood Motors in the North East has the same deal so I suspect most other dealers will have this
Good deal - cue the 'prefer a better spec' and other similar irrelevant comments.
Decent price, but not "almost half price" as you'd have to get another £2500 off to get to half price.

I wonder if they will do the 5 years Vauxhall 0% finance offer at this price? Will ring them tomorrow
in b4 my willy is bigger
You have to be over 75 to drive a Vauxhall Astra.

You can buy a used 1.7 diesel astra for £300 in your local paper, saving you over £12,000 and it will be just as rubbish/good as this newer model.

Well "above" half price... Still a good deal but wrong phrasing

just as rubbish/good - how does that work then ??
The 1.7 diesel is gutless in the hatchback let alone an estate filled to the brim plus passengers.
Over 50% of the OPS 'deals' are for Vauxhall cars.

Who cares if the price is right, unless he owns Vauxhall

Probably works for the dealership, which is therefore spam.
Saying almost half price with a picture that says 38% off!! Classic
Good price but a bland car
A good deal but actually about the right price for an Astra sized car. £20K is ridiculous (although over £3K of that is VAT)
What bhp is this 1.7?
Hot for me and last time i was in Peter Vardy in Aberdeen was well impressed with the place.
Can get a much nicer motor for 12 and half.
Hurrah. Another Vauxhall deal to vote cold on.

Is that just the vauxhall engine itself or any estate of that size? I have a 1.6 diesel Ford Focus estate and it is quite punchy. I and am really sorry I didn't wait a month as I paid just under £18k for a 61 plate :-(
It is a Titanium x that parks itself but the saving here is great. I'm well upset!!
Is this an estate? some manufacturers call their estates tourers!

Cosmic. Want to post a deal?
Trust me you don't want too much torque from a Vauxhall engine as 2 of my colleagues have discovered that after about 40,000 miles the chocolate in the gearbox starts melting. I hope they have now ditched the F40 gearbox.
Re above photo / it's not like that I. The version for sale!!

Like I said, it didn't take long !
Is this for brand new? If so then its smoking hot and a really nice car with lifetime warranty...

That engine will be fine in this car, ignore any idiot that says otherwise.... its a family estate ffs not a rude boy chav mobile

Also anyone who can find a better car for the same or better money, post away....
Hot, great price for model
hot deal

I am not a mechanic, but are you sure that you should be putting chocolate in your gearbox? oO
A nice price for the diesel version, a pity about the quality of the dealers.

OP - Why don't you mention the free holiday to?

"And this summer you can get a FREE holiday† on us!"

Ad is for a Sports Tourer - no mention of an Estate.

No it's pre-registered so the lovely lifetime (100,000 mile) is most likely not included.
It's a good deal but I'd rather get an Insignia if you need a car this size and want a Vauxhall.

The tourer is an estate. Just like when a lot of car companies call a hatchback a coupe.
oddballjamie

and want a Vauxhall.

That rules out most of the worlds population then...
If anyone is looking for a new larger diesel Vauxhall this Zafira isn't a bad price. Can vouch for the dealership too, it's where I bought my new Astra from at about £9k off list.
