It's Nintendo published they said. It won't come down in price they said.

Didn't have to wait long.

You must be pretty sensitive if that grinds your gears. Good thing you weren't gaming Nintendo in the 90's...
@DaMoUK2013 just enjoy the discount instead of ranting.

I can buy it now cheaply and therefore i wont need to unbox my collectors edition.

Good chance it'll drop further. Not a bad price when you consider the general pricing of switch games though.
Epic game loved it if you're on the fence happily push you off go for it hehe

But then, that would be different wouldn't it? I'd then have a different outlook. However I am the age I am an experienced the rrp of games being £29.99.

It being £39.99 fine, but the £49.99's an then the £59.99's really is just too much. Fortunately they are not exactly stuck too.

I'd be interested to know how dramatic you think grinding gears is as it sounds like you think it means the be all and end all
I just jumped onto the Switch, and really shocked at how pricey even the launch day titles still are! £35 not so bad, but £55 realistically for some? Rubbish!

Heh I have a mental image of somebody holding a lollypop, bottom lip out quivering with rage, and shaking their fist in the air. I've also, for some reason, placed you wearing one of those caps with helicopter propellers on top...like you see in old comic strips from the 50's. It's all quite dramatic! I guess it's cause you're at an age where £30 was the standard yet use the term "it grinds my gears".

I reckon you need to consider production value and length, in your outlook. We still have it pretty good now (just). No reason to grind your gears...when you consider the step up in production values over PS1 generation.
It's going to be interesting to see if games hold their current RRP next gen...when production costs are higher as the quality of graphics and sound increase. Hopefully it will be a case of more and more people are gaming to keep prices as they are...and not more and more micro-managed content pushed on us to balance the costs.

Loot boxes galore!
Found this one to start off great quickly became repetitive and dry. It has the makings to be something amazing but for me the story & investigative side were a bore. Though visually its superb. I’ll still be hanging on to it in hopes of future DLC or modes!

“It grinds my gears” - Probably a Family Guy reference, like the show is still relevant

Yes just bought a Switch, last console I had was a Wii....damn I'd forgotten how overly expensive games and accessories are. They even do limited runs of stuff on purpose I'm sure. I try to buy second hand where I can

That's all true, but typically Nintendo products hold their value due to the way they operate.

Nintendo's (these days) are expensive, but they stay that way through their lifecycle. Including second hand sales.

Nintendo has Mario and Zelda, and for some that's enough.

So the Nintendo game goes, buy high, play and sell, or buy high and enjoy. Like anything don't buy high and then keep it for a land fill.

Very much agree. Feel like the game could have been so much more.
The detective segments are the start of each case are painful to get through, absolutely kills the pace of the game. The controls during the action can be finicky and take some practice and finness, but then you have have segments of the game where you don't use them for an hour.
This or Luigi's Mansion 3?
Got this monday and it is fantastic. Fast, fun and awesome looking combat. The investigation parts which seems very polarised are to me very fun and a nice break from the action. It looks fantastic for most part in handheld. Great choice of art style.

When have games ever been £29.99 RRP?
Growing up in the 80s and 90s games were £49.99 standard. Some cost £59.99 or more!
Games cost the same now pretty much as they did then.

Same. I though the investigation side was lame, verging on being pointless. Go here scan that... boring! Iwished it had more epic battles like bayonetta, missed opportunity imo

Exactly, I paid £50 (£85 in today's money) for Pokémon Stadium and Super Smash Bros. each back in 1999. Games are much cheaper now and last a lot longer.
Am I the only one that was a disappointed by this game?

Just don't think it's as fluid as other platinum games titles.

Ahh finally someone else! Can’t believe how poor and frustrating that level was compared to the rest of the game!!!!
Switch is such a rip off console. Not only is the console overpriced but its games never go to £12 a few months after release like other consoles.

Its the only console I refuse to buy. There aren't many games on the switch anyway except for zelda, the same old mario kart every year and the same Mario every year.

This game will probably be one of the few on the switch that will hit £15 like bayonetta.

That's Nintendo. Games don't get super cheap rarely ever. That isn't a switch thing.
At least games generally retain good value.

You seem to go on about it more than Switch owners....
