Seems a decent price for the specs, although the processor could be a bit better:

2060 6gb
512gb SSD
16GB RAM
R7-3750H processor (2.3ghz)
120hz screen
Military grade drop tested, whatever that means.

It's been this price on amazon for over a week now.

Thought it might have dropped for today but nope.

I decided to order this one yesterday. Seems a good price to me. Being delivered today with DPD so I'll post my thoughts on here when received

I really don't think your getting any better for what it is. You can get an extra 6 pound of by taking advantage of Amazons "Top up" scheme
I bought this earlier this week and love it so far. Make sure you update all your drivers and set the RTX 2060 as the default in Nvidia Control Panel and you'll be golden

I did see a few reviews that mention driver issues and hardware conflicts but thought surely these things can be easily sorted if true...

Right out of the box, yes they can clash. But if you set the RTX to be default globally, update all your drivers, it's absolutely fine.
More thoughts for anyone considering buying: would recommend.

The CPU does throttle the GPU sadly, but it still performs well. Average 70 FPS on Forza Horizon 4 on max settings. Less demanding games are handled with ease; Crash Bandicoot is locked at 60 FPS. It's FAST. The M.2 SSD is lightning; I have a SATA SSD in my desktop PC and this boots up much quicker. Granted that SATA SSD is about 6 years old, but even so. Very impressed with the speed of this thing.

The RGB keyboard is nice, though it's not colour zoned so you're locked to one colour across the board. Zoning would've been nice but can't have everything. Colour control is good, I've just got it set to static green but you can choose from any colour you like along with breathing, strobing lights, colour rotation etc.

Good screen. Forza looks better on this than on my desktop PC monitor!

It runs hot - CPU reaches 90-95 under load, GPU around 85-90 - but it's a laptop so this is pretty standard. I've bought a cooling pad to ease the burden a bit and extend component life.

I've opened this up and I can confirm there's an empty SATA bay for you to install another SSD / HDD. You don't need a SATA cable, the ports are right next to the drive so you should be able to just slot it straight in. Installation is very easy, you just need a screwdriver to unscrew the back and away you go. The sales rep on Amazon states you can't do this, but with my own eyes I can tell you that you can. ASUS probably don't want you cracking it open but it's an option if you want. I've ordered another SSD since 512gb is nowhere near enough space for me.

I did have some software issues initially. The drivers can clash due to the onboard GPU and dedicated GPU - it blue screened at one point. However I updated both Geforce and Radeon to their latest versions and I've had no issues so far since doing that. I've also used the GeForce Control Panel to ensure all 3D applications use the dedicated GPU. Works a treat.

The WiFi also was using 802.11n instead of 802.11ac so I got slow internet speeds initially - I forced it to 802.11ac via the control panel and now the WiFi is excellent. I don't know what WiFi card is in this but it's very impressive - my router is downstairs and I was still getting 200mbps speeds upstairs in the bedroom via WiFi.

Unless you're wanting 100FPS+ in every game, I'd definitely recommend this laptop.

It's now gone up to 947 gbp

Well done to anyone who got it earlier

I spoke to amazon and they said they will not be bringing the price down or price matching.

Poor form from Amazon to increase prices after a week and half way through black Friday lol

You're welcome! Laptops are a minefield and I was reading conflicting things online, so I thought it'd be helpful to share my experience.
