Still a good price - heat added

Appears to be cashback @ 5.05% for orders over £369 -- which this would be!

topcashback.co.uk/cur…ys/

is this the one that was £399 a day or 2 ago? then went to £550?

Original Poster

^^ yes thats the one !!

If anyones interested I still have a reservation code for Canterbury at £399. I picked mine up last night but had two reserved. Awesome machine!

Good price still and good strategy to steal some heat from the OP of the £400 deal. Im getting it for £400, so not hot from me (_;)

^^ that one is expired my dear friend !!

Anyone got a reservation for £400 in Glasgow just incase anyone was planning on making a profit and changed their mind now.

OR if anyone had a brand new sealed one in Glasgow with receipt I can come collect it tonight.

So maybe the £400 wasn't a mis-price? Good strategy to shift a lot of stock? I got the i5 from comet, still available, with better memory and hard drive.

Currys knows how to shift their stock , as hot as this one got yesterday in the frenzy , the price will drop further by April ....

They want us to spend and we are going mad spending , just like someone mentioned on the£399.deal yesterday that he had ordered one and di
dnt know why- LOL

It's still a bargain... grab one.

Had a feeling it was a strategy, as usually no one buys the red laptops and they end up on ebays outlets - So this would have been a good way to shift a load of them

Anyone code a reservation this laptop for £399 from a London branch near new malden preferably?

'this will grab everyones attention now!!' come on OP, Sounds a bit desperate! oO
Oh yeh cold! Was cheaper yesterday

Ordered to replace wifes dreaded windows vista acer netbook.

Should be about £430 if the cashback comes through.

Thanks

Slow hard drive, not unusual at the price, low resolution display, not unusual at the price, shared graphics memory, not unusual at the price, low resolution 0.3mp webcam and it’s red and it’s from Currys. I know, I should be saying yay about the great CPU, but my first thought is that I have had so many bad Currys experiences. Are these factory-sealed boxes or repacks or refurbs? Does anyone have a recent survey of customer satisfaction of dealers and Currys ranking in it? All things being equal, I would usually vote hot on that CPU, even if the laptop is red.

This thread will take off like a saturn 5 rocket once it hits the homepage

Anyone res code in cardiff area?

Cold. Old post should be un-expired as it has only been 24 hours.

But the Heat that deal generated was at £400.

This deal is £50 more, so i doubt it will get anything like the same heat IMO.

Sorry you've had so many bad experiences. I can only say I have had good ones.... yes, there are positive and negatives with this laptop.

However, USB 3.0, HDMI out and the same price as the Comet offering yesterday... Yes. it is £40 more today but, it's a great deal for some.

As for the HD.. I may try putting an SSD in mine... I love to play with my toys.

Hot deal.
mpickett5778 can you pm me your reservation code im keen to pick this up tonight.

hmm..i would have bought one at £399, but not £450...oh well..

guv

Thats weird. My one yesterday only tracked with £6.06

It does say on TopCashback that it will track at a lower amount and then increase to 5% at a later point, so i would not worry.

OP needs to mention that the processor is also 3.1Ghz in Turbo mode

Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz (4C 8T 3.09GHz/3.1GHz Turbo, 3.1GHz IMC, 4x 256kB L2, 6MB L3)

ANd has USB 3.0

Not voting on the deal but 5400rpm drives kill how useful a laptop is for me. Really becomes a bottleneck in performance.

As it was £400 yesterday it makes that extra £50 look unappealing. Although an i7 for under £500 is quality!

tintin2k2

^^ yes thats the one !!

voting cold on price alone then.

I picked one up today for £399 as I reserved it yesterday. Cracking deal even at this price if you can find any stock.
