A320 motherboards are NOT Zen 2 compatible. On price the A320 were pointless as they were price almost identical to the B350 motherboards on release, so there is possibly a lot of stock still sitting around.
I have a MSI A320 board that has just had a beta bios release to support Zen2. Don’t know about this ASUS . But a good price all the same
Unless you must absolutely build the cheapest PC you can. I’d avoid the A320 boards. For £30 more you can get a B350/B450 even seen X370 boards.
You then have overclocking options, for free performance. It can be done in software, from the OS so no technical wizardry required.
For what it's worth, ASUS states this board does support 2nd gen Ryzen processors - with the appropriate BIOS off course. No telling what's on the board when it ships though.

This is where AMD gets confusing 2nd gen is the 2000 Series (Zen+), the latest 3000 series (Zen 2). Zen 2 refers to the architecture, 1000(Zen) and 2000(Zen+) series are similar but the 3000 series of CPUs are quite different, hence called Zen 2.
I've posted this before but I bought this similarly cheap 'A320' motherboard and only noticed when it arrived that it's actually a B350 chipset: cclonline.com/pro…46/
Ordered - used the Amazon Assistant discount to take another £10 off. Building a cheap PC with my son & this is a good starting point. Just need EVERYTHING else now
Not used this but it’s going back. As I have acquired a ASRock A320 board for my build that also had a bios update for new Ryzens. I simply don’t understand why ASRock, MSI and Gigabyte can do bios updates but Asus cannot . I though Asus were supposed to be the premier brand.
