Although power hungry (~200W while heavily gaming) and not a part of the newest line, it is still a very capable 2- chip graphic card with 1GB DDR3 - speedwise : approx. GTX 260 / HD4870/90 depending on tests.Cheap as chips.

Make sure you have a quality PSU and enough room in your case.

With the power of two ATI Radeon 3850 GPUs working together games will learn to fear the 3850 X2. With 1024MB of DDR3 memory the highest resolutions are opened up with better performance than ever thought possible at this price point.

A single HD 3850 struggles to match 50% of the performance of a HD 4770 so don’t expect this dual GPU card to beat a HD 4770 even where it scales well.
This is old tech which is power hungry and hard to recommend at this price. I’d suggest a HD 4770 instead.

This is No way near, approx. GTX 260,4870

dont be fooled people.

Unfortunately, your opinion is no way near the truth, mate.

If its faster than 9800GTX,which matches HD4850, depending on benchmark and resolution , it will match 260 or 4870 .
Although HD4770 it is a good and relatively efficient card, the 128-bit and 512mb will struggle in high resolutions.I have not said its the fastest card, but its the fastest card @ £55 in many circumstances

It's slower than a 9800GTX, in real world tests, and a 260/4870 is faster than a 9800gtx.
These cards can be very noisy (depending on the cooler).
Still, saying that, still very cheep for one of these cards. Would play most modern games. Personally, I would have to go for one of the newer cards on the market. Like this 5750 I posted for £85. DX11, and amazing power efficiency too (60W max load!!).

It's pretty old, why not go for new technology. let the retailer store them as collection.

I am not going to argue since I agree with many criticisms but...9800gtx is not always faster :

Here, the difference is huge, what's more important, it might be the difference between having a game playable or unplayable in HD. That would indicate that there is (it was ) a potential developed with the drivers as they(ATI) did quite a good job with CF drivers.Obviously, it's just speculation but come on... it's £55 card.

Some games really support Crossfire well, and you would see good performance with this card in those cases.
I think a 260/4870/4890 would be noticeably faster in most things though ...
