Not a bad motherboard for those looking to build a cheap mid range PC that supports Intel CPU 7th gen Kaby Lake processors.

The Amazon page states BIOS is Rev 1.05 so should support Kaby Lake out of the box without a BIOS flash.

Product blurb:

  • Dual-channel DDR4 2133 support
  • SupremeFX: Flawless audio that makes you part of the game
  • Intel Gigabit Ethernet and LANGuard: Top-speed protected networking
  • M.2: Ultra-speedy transfers for faster gaming
  • Gamer's Guardian: Highly-durable components and smart DIY features

I'm looking at a self build mid range gaming PC but am thinking i3 (3 or 4 series) CPU and maybe a GTX 1050 or so. Would this motherboard be suitable ?

Although the Amazon product page says it supports DDR3, it is my understanding that it doesn't.

I believe it only supports DDR4 Ram in the 2133, 2400, 2666, 2800 and 3000 mhz variations.

You would have to push to a i3-6 and up to use this mobo. See CPU support link above
