Can my daughter play roblox and sims on this?

It doesn't run Windows, so no. And to run Sims well you'll need something with a hefty amount of power, at least £400 ish in a laptop I'd say.

Can you install any sort of office package onto it?

It has Google Docs Office Suite already on it and you can download from the Chrome store free Word Mobile and Excel Mobile apps to use with it online (need a Microsoft account for this)

Would this be suitable for a 11 yr old child wanting to do writing, games and browsing ?
I bought this at this price and it was delivered today. Nice device seems quick and nippy, the chrome OS, so simple and the few android apps I tried worked great. The big thing that lets it down is the screen/panel, it has a very narrow viewing angle in all directions and washes out very easily, the PPI is very low on the screen too making it hard to read some text, maybe it's due to me using a surface pro at work and previously having a Yoga with full hd. Some people won't notice or be as picky. This is still a bargain and a great buy in all other respects. I am going to go for the John Lewis deal and pay the extra £100 for a full hd screen/4gb /better CPU/ 2 year warranty and return this one.
