No this is only 720p with Celeron and no touchscreen
I bought this model last time it was on offer at JL for £250 and while it performs well for the price, I wish I had waited for something different. The downsides I have found are that although the top of the Chromebook is metal, the rest of the body is plastic and feels fairly cheap and 'bendy'. I find it difficult to get a good viewing angle for the entire screen, normally part of it (top or bottom half depending on position) shows colours a lot dimmer/flatter than they are when I tilt the screen slightly. The keys are a little 'squishy' for my liking and there is room for improvement on both volume and brightness. Since using this Chromebook I would now have preferred a smaller unit with a backlit keyboard but that's just down to specs and not a downside of the machine if you know what you're looking for. Still a capable choice with a good lifespan and hard to beat the spec at this price, in my opinion anyway.

Bigger is better for eyes and watching videos

But not as portable or useful for working on the move, hence why I would prefer a smaller unit. As I said, that's my opinion... You are more than welcome to your own

I see now that June 24 is supposed to mean June 2024. I saw it as meaning 24th. Anyway for anyone still confused, June 2024 us when you're support stops for this Chromebook.
Most people don`t use touch screen on a laptop I would guess.
The Lenovo is far better value and is supported `til June 2k26.

On Chromebook s , it is very important due to Android Play Store. Play Store apps are made for touchscreen phones / tablets and hit and miss without touchscreen. I used to hate Chromebook before they ported the Android Play store with millions of apps to Chromebook . So very important for me.

Not true IMO. Since recent Chromebooks have access the Google Playstore apps, the vast majority especially games are designed for a touch screen. The Chromebook keyboard shortcut commands are well thought out and useful, so you can get by without a touch screen but personally i would not advise it. As ever, it comes down to personal choice and what you intend to use your device for but I use the touch screen a lot.
EDIT: Voted hot on this one. Recently voted one of the best budget 2019 Chromebooks by Chrome Unboxed on YouTube. Click Here

Seems an excellent deal. I love my Chromebook and rarely use Windows any more. Android apps are a game changer. Hot.

What Android apps do you use on your chrome specifically??
Is this definitely the touchscreen version? Doesn't make any reference to it on the specs?
