No, but I definitely would pay a bit more for an RX 6600, GTX 1660 Super or RTX 3050 and say it’s money well spent. Even a used RX 570/580 8GB would be preferable.

I got a 290x (which is only a little slower than this card) for £165 brand new 8 years ago. Price to performance improvements are now dead.

I recently purchased a second hand 6900 xt with a waterblock (which I use) for £575. Took me ages to part with that kind of money for what should now be mid tier performance. (edited)

I remember that card - had a extremely wide 512-bit memory bus and was pretty quick though also ran extremely hot and loud. I had one for a short while in a few PCs at work during the recent mining booms and they were mostly ok, even usable today.

only good perf for older pc but 4 gen 4 pcie lanes make it pointless for that

This card is terrible (were it low profile and one fan, it would have some reason to exist). However, both AMD and Nvidia have even worse cards at even higher prices coming in their 'new' generation.

AMD should sell an APU with graphics at this level- but AMD still chooses to put trash level GPU power on even its best APU parts so that they can still sell discrete rubbish like this.

PC gamers should see a 5700/6600/3060 as minimum-good new cards today.
