ASUS is one of Fortune magazine’s World’s Most Admired Companies and is one of the top motherboard and gaming brands as well as a top-three consumer notebook vendor. Our wide portfolio includes MG248Q, Chromebox and a range of devices and components, along with AR and VR

ASUS Dual Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB GDDR6 is armed to dish out frames and keep vitals in check.

  • Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure.
  • Dual ball fan bearings can last up to twice as long as sleeve bearing designs.
  • Auto-Extreme Technology uses automation to enhance reliability.
  • A protective backplate prevents PCB flex and trace damage.

Axial-tech Fan Design Better, faster, stronger

Two tried-and-true Axial-tech fans feature a smaller hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring to increase downward air pressure.

0dB Technology Quiet intelligence

An advanced onboard controller brings fans to a standstill when the GPU core temperature is below 55 Celsius, letting you enjoy light gaming in relative silence. As temps rise past the threshold, the fans automatically start up again.

Dual BIOS Choose wisely

Do you prioritise low core temps or low noise levels? Performance mode will let the fans spin up to keep the card running cool all the time. Quiet mode keeps the same power target and top-end settings, but offers a less aggressive fan curve for quieter operation at medium temps. For even more customisation and control, check out our GPU Tweak II software.

Auto-Extreme Technology Precision automated manufacturing

Auto-Extreme Technology is an automated manufacturing process that sets new standards in the industry by allowing all soldering to be completed in a single pass. This reduces thermal strain on components and avoids the use of harsh cleaning chemicals, resulting in less environmental impact, lower manufacturing power consumption, and a more reliable product overall.

Protective Backplate That's so metal!

The PCB is reinforced by an aluminium backplate that adds structural rigidity, helping to prevent PCB flex and protect components and trace pathways from damage.

GPU Bracket Locked and loaded

A GPU bracket provides uniform mounting pressure and extra stability to the critical connection between die and heat spreader.

The MSRP of the 5700 XT was £400. I know people are going to say inflation, GPU naming doesn't mean anything etc, but common... This is last gens offering for the gens before that's pricing. Kind of a joke really.

Inflation in the UK since 2020 is about 16%, this isn't inflation, it's greed. Nvidia took a price to performance metric from the 3080, and basically made the incoming 40 series scale to that rather than giving us better price to performance, and AMD was then complicit with it, overpricing their 7000 series cards.

This is greed, and the fact we're getting 2020/21 graphics options now just starting to get to MSRP from 2 years ago is disgusting. 6700xt was about £420 at launch in March 2021 if you could get it.

When the 1060 came out, it was about £270-£300 new, for a card that performed on par with the previous gen's 980 (which originally sold for about £500). A lower mid card with last gen's higher end performance for less money, that's how it's meant to go.

The greed disgusts me with GPUs at the moment. If the 4070ti is £800, where the heck does that put the 4060? £500? £550? for a lower mid offering?

This bubble's got to burst at some point. These 6700XTs should be below £300 by now, and 3070s should be hovering around there now as well, at least by my arm chair pie in the sky hopeful maths.

Not a deal at all, I'd still hesitate even if it was £272.54.

This price for a years old midrange card is just absurd.

If you wanna wait until 2030 then sure

Not bad but not great either as this is basically the Asus equivalent of Powercolor's Fighter, which was available for as little as 360 quid. Cheap cooler with a two fan design that probably runs hot or loud.

I have bought the powercolor one this week as it is smaller that will fit in my Dell case. I am happy with it now

Stupid crazy prices... And it's really starting to annoy me because I am stuck with a 1070 until things at least start looking normal again. I assume they think they can charge this because they saw the after market spikes from mining but hasn't that bubble burst now? So only a matter of time? I think I can manage another couple of years on my AM4 platform and then I'll do a full build.

Same here -- I'm still on a GTX 900 series card that's dying, but am not willing to pay anything remotely close to these prices. Let them sit and collect dust for a few more months.

6700xt is a powerful card but still expensive?? I'm not sure (edited)
    ando's avatar
It is still expensive I'd say, but, given that cards aren't really dropping in price that much this is still a ok price for what's now considered middle/low tier pricing.

Hopefully when April comes around prices might drop further depending on the 4070 pricing and performance (edited)

Sapphire Pulse 6700 XT for £5 cheaper here. The question is, which is the better card, and which will have easier/cheaper returns?
I want one but can't decide which to go for, I'd like to be able to return it if needed, anyone got advice?
    Una's avatar
Amazon is really easy to return to from experience, tech next day charged me a restock fee when I returned (probably within their right as its a smaller business ) but amazon is huge and can provide free returns

Cold, sorry - there were 6750 XTs going for this much (£380ish) a few weeks ago. For this sort of money, you might as well stretch it a bit more to around £460 and get the RX 6800 imported instead (edited)

That price was only available for a few minutes at midnight (likely an error)

Cheapest they've been is around £420 (edited)

For how well this plays most modern games at good settings, it’s a hot deal compared to other graphics card options near this price. Pretty much 3070 performance for considerably less.

£346 here but they have poor feedback and even worse Trustpilot reviews, worth going for it?
Edit: I cancelled my Amazon EU order and went for it. Amazon so should be fine if they don't deliver, also shipping is 1 week, Amazon EU was 3 weeks (edited)

Any joy in negotiating with Tech Next Day about the delivery charges?

Waiting for FSR 3 with Frame Generation update. If it’s on pair with DLSS 3 and support 6000 GPU it will be great value.
