Was just strolling in westfield london when I came across this deal
Asus Eee Pad Transformer 16GB for only 350£ - 30£ sale at Anvika Westfield London store.

Not sure whether this is nationwide
I know its not better deal than the best buy deal posted 3 days back. but to get it below 360 quidco needed to be tracked.
So for some souls who do not have the patience for the item to be delivered and do not trust quidco this is definitely the lowest I have seen.

Was keen to buy one but the missus has warned me not get any gadgets for the next 6 months or so.
But for anyone interested just walk into the store and hope to get lucky.

The one with the keyboard was costing 429 but the staff informed me they do not have the stocks for them.

Is it possible to buy the keyboard separately?

Yes, for around the £100 mark, so you're better off getting it all in one if that's what you want.

Given it some heat, but I think most folks want the combo with the keyboard.

BestBuy (with 8% Quidco / TCB) is the preferred supplier - but they do not sell the combo!

The price should be written as £350 and not 350£. Sorry but I needed to point this out. Not voting either way.

That's not a bad deal, had a play with one in Curry's today and was quite impressed. I would like the keyboard as well, but with stocks running so low everywhere, we may have to wait some time. Might try calling them Monday, see if the offer is still on.

got it with the keyboard, absoloutely fantastic tablet.

Just picked mine up from the Westfield store, thanks to the OP for the heads up. Updating to 3.1 now.

Still impressed I bagged one of these for £340 from Comet a month ago!

But you can buy a 1st version ipad for this price, and the ipad will keep it's price for resale, once you've realised you don't actually need one and get bored of it after a month.

Price starting to head in right direction. If it hits £200, it might be worth a look.
Hopefully China will start knocking out similar spec stuff for £80, they're about 18months behind the big players

apple fanboy arlet.....

have you seen the asus ?

Why dont you ou bury your head in the sand !

at the gadget show live, this was by far the most impressive tablet on display. if i'm in the market for one in the near future, this is easily to one to go for - given that i'm not an apple fan in the slightest, and that i value a more open approach to my technology (which, admittedly, puts me in the minority). in short, it's cheaper, better, and more open that the ipad2 which is the only competitor (aside from the notion ink adam, which isn't easily available or available with the same screen resolution - the main advantage of that is the pixel qi screen which may or may not be an advantage).

these will not be hitting the £200 mark for a very very long time!

Depends on what you mean by a long time, I'd have thought 6 months and it should be hitting £200-£250

Hard to believe. Comparing this to the others out there (Xoom, Tab) this must have a pretty small profit margin already.
£300 sure but I can't see this getting near £250 until this current tech is obsolete (Tegra 3s are released)

I haven't checked when the next generation will be out, but with this being a new market and icecream in December, I would assume they would hit at that time. 200 to 250 as offers on here would be quite probable IMO

got mine from laskys.com early this week (full price for the keyboard combo). (quidco gave 3.5% cashback which I am still waiting for..) didn't go for the bestbuy option because they didn't have the keyboard in stock..

great gadget for my girlfriend cause she mainly uses it for internet/youtube/music etc. i like it cause i can read books and comics with it. still i don't think it will replace my desktop cause i of the small storage size of the tablet (16gb + 32gb is not enough for all my music and films..)

thats a decent price but still hoping the Oct/Nov roumor is true, early xams pres plus hope its not too expensive. of course if you guys can wait this one will keep going down in price.

cant wait TF plus teamviewer

Had an Archos101 that couldn't stay working for very long...

Have an iPad which I use for most everything.

Couldn't resist buying a Transformer with Keyboard, and wow!

The interface is so much more flexible, attractive and functional than iOS on the iPad, and iOS 5 doesn't show any evidence of improving on that situation. It is fast, responsive and shows none of the faltering under the burden of multiple apps that either the earlier Android 2.x tabs did, or indeed that the iPad/iPhone sometimes does.

What is sadly lacking, at the moment, is a wealth of quality Honeycomb apps, because the few that I've played with look really, really nice, and of course it is going to be apps and content which turn Honeycomb into an iOS killer.

Don't underestimate the ASUS Transformer. I almost want to use it more than the iPad, it is literally nothing less than the availability of apps that is holding me back.

And that situation is being worked on, I suspect.

Also, the ASUS could do with a better stock video player. That was the strength of the Archos 101. At present the ASUS is giving users the same problem as the iPad... who can be bothered converting downloaded or recorded video files to the appropriate format, when all you want to do is drag and drop and watch... Which is more or less what you could do with an Archos plus the relevant plugins.

Apart from that... impressive stuff.

I managed to get my Transformer Combo from PCWorld in Bradford. I rang the Curry's helpline, since both Currys and PC World were showing zero stock for home delivery and zero for reservation online, but both sites advised contacting individual stores for stock details. So the helpline tipped me off to PCW in Bradford having three of them on Wednesday, and since I was passing through Bradford within an hour anyway, I called in to see if they still had them. They said there was 1 left, so I bagged it.

No regrets here. Lovely, stylish machine.

And with Polaris Office, I can easily see me using this instead of my Samsung netbook for basic typing (I do a lot of writing) and Facebooking etc.

this is a very **** comment

Aren't there quite cheap media players that would solve this issue? Genuine question - this is one of the main things holding me back from buying this. VLC for Android would be good (if it ever gets released!).

This is great piece of kit (disclaimer, I'm a bit of an asus fan)... but I'll be waiting until Christmas to buy a nice tablet (probably this one) and give my Asus EEE PC to someone else

Good price, for a great tablet - hot !!
I picked up a 'combo' version from my local Comet (of all places !) last weekend, as had been waiting for some time on an online order with ever-moving delivery date !
Fantastic device, and really very pleased with it - sure, Honeycomb specific apps are thin on the ground so far, but I have had no problems with any app downloaded from the Market thus far. Just chucked a 32GB microSDHC in yesterday, too, and I now have a very capable tablet with a really very usable keyboard option (and double battery life) from the dock.

To add to that i've just started using moboplayer. Better than those above imo and free
