not bad. Not bad at all. Heat added

Or £590.97 with a £1 Which trial :).

Is the gpu upgradeable ?

expertreviews.co.uk/pcs…red

Great Price for what you are getting.. But check out the review above..

If I did not have an Alienware X51 r2 under the tv I would buy this..

GPU is up-gradable..You could stick a 1080 mini in no issues.. Or more likely wait for future generation gards

CPU should be greeat for 5 year +

Yes but you will have to find one that fits and it won't need upgrading for a while unless you are looking at 1070/1080s

Heat! I don't need it and It's still tempting lol

Tired and Just about to go to bed. Refresh new deals. See laptops direct and see 1080. Go crazy then wake up and realise it's a desktop. Still good price. Looking on YouTube and a 1060 is on par with this. Couldn't believe that and watched a few more to make sure. Makes me always want to wait before upgrading as once you buy something a year later it's rubbish. I only have a 960 and was going to wait till 2x generation of graphics card before upgrading. But the 1060 deals on here are tempting

I'm really tempted but this review has put me off a bit lol:

Yeah the GPU bay looks pretty tight, you'd have to bear that in mind when making future upgrades (e.g. reference cooler).

That's the new version, still skeptical on the 980 version

Would this pc be good enough for medium to high settings at 1080p on games like GTA v and h1z1 ?

I thought "here we go another 1050 gaming PC at £600"... No it's a 980.... Not bad at all, heat from me.

I have a PC with very similar specs and I'm able to run GTA V almost completely maxed out.
H1Z1 would be easy to run, and you'd be able to play most games on ultra except for the most recent and demanding titles.
This deal looks like a scorcher if you're in the market for a prebuilt system!

Cool. So the 980 is more than capable of playing new games? What's the memory on the card ?

Thanks for help , anyone ever shopped with this company ? Never used them myself

GTX 980 has 4gb VRAM. 3 years old now but still a very capable card for 1080/1440p.

Been researching and the ventellation in the PC is seriously bad, and it harms performance quite a lot. My GTX 970M is getting higher frame rates on some of these video comparisons

To second that notion there was someone on here with one, said it was awful and throttled all the time, locked proprietary motherboard and no upgrade path.

Really wouldn't bother.

Would it be hard to improve the cooling, when gaming? Must be a simple way which is practical.

Max/High settings on this machine, you can see the bottleneck already. A standard GTX 980 would hit 60fps average easily, these struggle at it.

Yup because opening the case voids warranty, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Shame. Great price for what it is.

Also doesn't help that there are 0 reviews and no other retailer has these units...

Got the g20cb. I swopped my gtx 960 for a 1070 reference : make sure you get a blower type to expel the air out the back

Never missed a beat and gears 4 on max looks amazing

I have used them, no issues at all, they did not send the external USB drive with the order, one quick e-mail got an apology the unit delivered next day and a refund of the postage for the laptop.
Excellent for me to deal with and they actually answer the phone.

It's definitely good spec for at the current price...however it's worth keeping in mind that Nvidia has the tendency of stop optimising performance for cards that are EOL (which the 980 is as we are now on 1000 series not 900 series), so while the 980 will still performance at 100% of its performance for older games, for newer and future games that are released after the 1000 the performance are not as good as in games that were released when 900 series was still the current gen.

I want to like it and I want to get a Black Friday bargain but building a Ryzen 5 GTX 1060 6GB for about £600 seems like a better choice.

Whats the point in having a great CPU, memory and card if its all going to be throttled when it heats up ?

Just my opinion.

Damn, this is a lot of bang for book, though it depends how bad the heat issues are that a few have mentioned.

I’ve just started my first pc build, which has cost significantly more than this and the spec isn’t too different - i5-7500, 16gb, 250gb 960 evo m.2, GTX 1060 6GB. No sense of pride in buying prebuilt though

My g20 came from these people September 2016 no issues. Warning if you use any codes or vouchers quidco won't be paid

I've not had any heat issues and running a reference 1070 card made by evga.

The main issue is circulation and putting a traditional fan based card in won't help; you need to put a blower version than vents out of the back.

Looking for a gaming pc for my lad and this is right in my budget range. I get all of the comments when assessing this as a machine that can operate at ultra levels, but pound for pound do you think it’s a better option than this?

Hard to see what exact components that has. I'm blind i guess. But the cpu is slower and it sounds like it has an sshd combined drive, rather than separate like this one. This also has more memory at 12gb. Graphics card wise they are similar.

They’re very similar. Have a look at this comparison of graphics cards
gpu.userbenchmark.com/Com…639

I’d say the 970 is slightly better but as time moves on the 1060 may hold up better against newer games. The deal you’ve shared is similar to my build. The benefit of it over this deal is that case allows better airflow. It maybe doesn’t look as cool but it’s maybe easier to swap the case in future compared to this slimmer Asus

Thanks for this. For the uninitiated like me it’s easy to think this is better just because it is i7 and has double the memory. Might go for the novatech then.

It’s now showing £699. Bugger!
