I've seen the deal at ao for a similar laptop but this one has a 128ssd with 1tb hard drive and a 4gb graphic (gtx 1050)

What do you think ? Is it better and worth the extra?

Many thanks

But the laptop doesn't really worth £1099 anymore.
This kind of spec can be found on £800 laptops.
Still a good price though. Heat.

If it gaming tour after, Get a X Box One X, eats this laptop alive!!!

What's your point? The GTX 1050 is somewhat capable of playing AAA games in 1080p, the Xbox One X is somewhat capable of playing AAA games in 4K.

My point is that it's good enough and can have access to Steam, games are cheaper, the choice is bigger and the online is free.
I can't care less about 4K.

A GTX 1050 is more of a card for e-sports games, it's not recommended if you want to play AAA games because it won't play the latest ones on max settings at a solid 60fps (usually around medium settings), and so obviously will have trouble with near future games. You talk about savings, but this laptop is 250 more than the X1X (in only the original price), and is significantly weaker in terms of peformance.

The processor is what I'm looking for, but sadly there's no ssd and the graphics card is pretty outdated. Thanks for the suggestion tho!

Of course you can play AAA games. Playing in medium settings at 40 fps is fine.

I never said it wasn't possible, it just isn't recommended, because you usually cannot play at very high or high settings at a smooth 60 frames per second. Who wants to play games at 30-40fps on PC? And like I said, this is going to be an issue as it'll struggle even more with future games. So what is the point of "savings" when this laptop is not future-proof and is 250 more than the Xbox One X?

40FPS is fine for most gamers (except e-sport). Most games on PS2, PS3 run at 30FPS or below. Many games games on PS4 run at 30FPS, is it problem ? No. So 40 FPS is more than enough for actual games.
Yes, the XBox One X is £250 less but you have to pay to play online and the games are more expensive. Also you have access to more than 10 times less games.

Really depends on game (e.g. with Witcher 3, 30-40 fps is not much of an issue), but for the majority of games, most PC gamers will aim for at least 60 fps, definitely not 30 fps, and they'd rather turn down the settings to achieve such framerate. You should also note that people have much less of an issue with 30 fps on consoles due to the use of a controller. Again, about the "savings", people who game on such a laptop will want a new mouse, probably a new keyboard and probably a new monitor. For mouse and keyboard (and actually one that isn't bad), that would cost about at least £30 each. Online membership on the X1 will only set you back about £30-40 each year. Again, even without paying for the mouse and keyboard, it'll take 6-8 YEARS for the membership to catch up, and still, the laptop is significantly weaker and at this point, no one would keep this laptop, not even close. There's no point in comparing over membership cost. And with games, sure you can talk about the games libraries, but that's all opinion. Many PC games are small, indie games, so saying that consoles have "10 times less games" doesn't really mean much, unless you really want to play all those thousands of small games. With that, there isn't going to be 10x well-known games on PC than consoles. Each platform has its own exclusives, the Xbox will have games not on PC, and vice-versa, and this is all down to what you want to play. No one chooses a platform over how many games it has, that's stupid, they choose over what games there are they want to play.

But after 6-8 years I will still have all my games on the new computer. I own 373 games on Steam.
I have also a PS4 for the Uncharted series, The Last of Us series, God of War, Days Gone, Bloodborne and Hero Zero Dawn. I can't think of a single title on XBox One that would make me want buy the console.
Playstation + PC is the way to go.

I do find it funny when people compare stuff that aren't the same genre lol this is a laptop why not compare it with another laptop? Not a games console lol I know it's a gaming laptop but a laptop is for so many other things are well as a game and I'm sure u can't play a Xbox while commuting on the train to work

Price back up to £999. Deal over 😥
