Currently in a process of building a new Rig and just watching these graphic card deals over the past week or so and just stumped on what to get.

Alot of people recommend the RX480 over the 1060 but honestly, I think the 1060 is overall the better card and the Strix stuff from Asus is top

After a long time, I decided to crack and go for this 1060 Asus Strix. I cant quiet afford the 1070 Strix (as thats the ideal card) but this one is pretty darn good. Maybe the best of the 1060's?

Of course, theres a free Asus ROG Gaming mouse. Its not too bad either.

Here is the Tech Spec of the card:

With a (non-blower) 6GB 1060 available at Novatech for £210, that means you're paying £87 here for a cooler and a mouse.

Alternatively, for an extra £43 you can get that ASUS 1070 OC (not a Strix, but not at all bad) deal at Amazon.

There's simply no benefit here for paying the extra £87 or saving the £43 - either way gets you a better deal.

But thank you for sharing, anyway. Not every deal can be a hot deal!

far too expensive even with the mouse thrown in i'm afraid.

This would be way too expensive for a 1060
with the 1070s coming down abit it's even worse. The cooler is better than normal but not that big a premium better I would say it's only of any benefit if you wanted the mouse in the first place but you are still paying over the odds for a 1060 card.
I would suggest to either save the wee bit extra for a 360 - 370 1070 card may mean waiting abit but it's much better performance for the money. Or bite the bullet and get a cheaper 1060 for around 240 or so.

Considering a 480 4Gb can be got for under £200 (mine cost £170 last week) you're paying a lot for the strix branding here.

Too close to 1070 pricing to be a good deal.

I mean even a 8GB model is available for under £200 xD and the deal I posted via Novatech is £210

If it isn't too late, OP should get a refund and purchase the deal that I posted. You're paying ~£90 extra for branding essentially.

I cancelled the deal. Not sure what I was thinking. Thanks sir

Made the same mistake with buying this 1060 and a free 120gb ssd.Don't fall for it , its not worth it , I shouldve bought an rx480 instead but when i tried to return it , was 1 day after scans returns policy A great card and maxes all the games I play, but I wasted quite a bit of money

I don't know why people are so against the Strix 1060. It's priced just under the halfway point between the cost of a 1060 and a 1070 and you get what you pay for in terms of performance - the insanely good cooling and awesome aesthetics are easily less than half the extra cost over other 1060 6GB's.
