So for £70 less you get more performance. Sounds like a good deal.

Surely the 480 would gather dust?

Always local currency if you have a credit card that uses a close to spot exchange rate and no fees. Halifax Clarirty Credit Card being a prime example. Nationwide do something similar as well.
ordered, dont think will get.

Revolut, load it with b£ and convert to euro. Then use the virtual card to pay in euro. That's the best I have found for buying in euro and buying/trading bitcoins

Thought I was seeing things when I seen the price , personally not going to take the plunge but good luck to those who have
OOS. Ordered anyway. See what happens.

Obviously OOS now, but if I was to pay with my debit card in GBP, (royal bank of scotland) and it shows 329.71 total payment, will rbs charge me still or is that the final payment because its using amazons currency converter?

cheers!

Edit: I think they charge 2.75% which is like 9 quid, amirite? isnt too bad

No if you choose to pay GBP you won't pay any extra.

On Amazon i says this, though:

"
  • When you use Amazon Currency Converter, we'll charge your credit or debit card in your local currency. In some cases, however, your bank or credit card company may assess additional fees, which may increase the overall cost of your purchase. Please contact your bank regarding these fees."

Oh. Then what's the point of paying GBP and not EUR I wonder. Double fees? I don't know.
Sweet deal if it arrives

Who knows, but I ordered it anyway, will see if it gets back in stock and they send it, who knows.

If it is 2.75% it's just £9 something, not a big deal.
Temporarily out stock, but ordered using Halifax Clarity in EUR for 357.65 EUR inc. delivery, which would convert to ~£317, if it is ever dispatched!

Here we go. Well done OP. Few cpuld have got it, now no one will. Some probably calling amazon.fr to ask if they will honour, some talking to lawyers how to make amazon honour it, some ordering 18, some searching for french consumer right... And as always noone will get it because 1000 orders alerted them.

There is nothing to win here... It was said here 100 times. Whoever ordered it before it was posted here, had chances reduced from small maybe 10% to none:)
