Good spec, I hate the design and look
Are these the units that run extremely hot? They block their own vents, knocking the CPU/GPU temps in excess of 90?
If it's a gaming laptop I don't really care how thin it is. I don't want it to be thin, just cooled properly

I have seen a lot of reports of these models running with crazy high temperatures... worth a google before considering.

Just confirmed, these units are great spec but the build is shocking. With the screen up the heat vents are blocked, users on the ASUS forums advise undervolting and removing CPU turbo and even cutting holes in the case to get around this. Shame because otherwise this is a good price.
Sounds like it was really designed to benefit from the MaxQ spec but doesn't use it.
