I can't figure out how to get it delivered collect plus. Can any one help?

dont you need to open an credit account with them to use the code?

Very have a very ( (_;) ) bad habit of sdtating goods are in stock when you order them, then when you check back the delivery dates have moved, usually by about 3 weeks, check back again and they've moved again - i went on and on and eventually waited 2 MONTHS for my Transformer....and they take payments whilst the goods are still awaiting despatch, id be very ( (_;) ) careful about what yopu sign up for, they're not all that good!

No SD slot.........hot

collect plus doesn't appear to be possible - probably because they are getting them sent from Google ??

I ordered one of these on Friday as they were listed as in stock then too (this post is a repeat of one from last week)

On Saturday I Checked the order and it stated delivery estimate 3/Aug.

Called them up to cancel - Was told they would request cancellation - but couldn't confirm as the cancellations dept had gone home for the day.

Emailed a cancellation request yesterday and got a reply saying it had been cancelled and wouldn't be processed.

Got an email today that my order HAD been processed and is scheduled for delivery 3rd Aug !

Emailed again to ask wtf was going on to be told "If it turns up refuse delivery"

Complete shower of tools - but the price is good and the code seems to work - the order confirmation showed the discount !

We'll just have to see what turns up

Sorry but very is too much of a gamble.

Tend to agree but the price is correct, I took a gamble on a £299 iPad 3 and got it two weeks later

If I could justify this purchase to the misses I would buy..

Great bit of kit, I've had mine since last Thursday. Check your apps If you are upgrading though as I have 12+ apps which will not work on it/Jelly Bean including iPlayer, Amazon, paper camera, various newspaper apps, SkyGo and several games.

Have got some great deals from very with their occasionally stupidly generous discounts (sign up and periodic £30 of £60 spend).

Being able to use this on the hottest (and arguably best) table it great.

It's a rather small table..

Bought from these people some time a go and they cancelled the code and debited my card for the full price after I had received the goods.

Is there some way of connecting this to a tv?

lageryron

Is there some way of connecting this to a tv?

not really. There is a (expensive) wifi device which will allow some videos play on a tv but only files that its app can handle and you wont be able to output from other apps e.g. netflix, games, internet etc

Mini HDMI connection for hooking up to a TV I believe

Theoretically it would be possible (although not straigtht forward). You will need a DLNA TV or staging box connected to your TV and then an Android app. Google it to find out what other people are using.
I have a Sony Bravia TV and an app called Shifta which allows me to show photos and play music but not had any success with films yet.. but then I am pulling them from a NAS and not from the Nexus.

Anyone know if imovi.es works on this.. On apples the films play instantly I.m told

Great price and really tempting but I'm just not 100% sure if the merchant can be trusted.

So my order is apparently cancelled.

These guys are such a shower of idiots I'm half expecting to get a freebie nexus 7 in time for Christmas 2013

I'm hoping this means good things!

How much did the final invoiced amount come out to off you don't mind me asking?

It seems like Very are being their usual selves over that £30 code.

Mines is the same - apart from it's the 2nd instead of the 3rd So hopefully it won't be delayed further.

Mine is the same. I phoned up earlier and the guy said it could come any time before the 3rd. I also asked him to confirm price and he quoted back the amount with the discount. So all looking good!

So they will be crediting your account for the £30 at a later date?

Seems a bit dicey to me.

And did you get the code mailed to you or anything or did you just find it on here?

There was a member in the thread for the £30 code who said that Very were refusing to honour it unless he could prove his entitlement to it.

I used the code that was posted here. But I had my account open at start of the year and I remember receiving similar code.

I think it is 10% off for first orders on credit accounts now.

You canny return this device once you've opened it, it says so on their webpage and holding on to it in a sealed box for 6 months in case they might screw you over down the line doesn't really seem like much of an option.

I forgot to mention I don't plan on opening the box until its fully confirmed in my next statement. Once a order is shipped then they have accepted the contract. They can't really go back on it. Thats how other companies get around misprices on websites. The contract isnt accepted until the item is shipped out.
