A very good price on a 3gb gtx 1060. Graphcs cards have finally come back to their msrp. This is great for normal pc gamers. this card can do 1080p @ 60fps which is what most people want. it would struggle to get high frame rates at 1440p as it has a low amount of GDDR5 Ram.

Heat added.. How does ASUS compare with other cards like Zotac or EVGA?
What's the cheapest 1060 - 6GB card at the moment?
sensible price for a 3gb 1060.

Sounds dodgy as heck and isn't allowed by the rules to advertise your EBAY auctions on this site...

You clearly show signs of paranoia bro.
In backorder until May 19th, just like the £339 GTX 1070 at overclockers.co.uk (May 18th). Wait till then and perhaps “cheap” cards will be everywhere. Or wait 1-4 months more for next generation.
At least there is little reason to preorder.

Edit: Now it doesn’t seem to be back ordered, perhaps I misread... in any case, better wait another week or two at least.

That's rubbish. If you bought it from an online retailer, distance selling rules come into play. Consumer law trumps retailer "rules"

I mean, for starters, hotukdeals.com/dea…214

It was 245.99 last week, so it's laughable you are selling it for 9 quid more. And why are you not just returning it? The UK has a very nice return period just for situations like you have.

to be honest there's little to no difference. a few cards might be slightly overclocked but the difference isn't noticable

Ebay/payal fees, also point me in the direction of a gtx 1060 6gb thats cheaper?
It was novatech or whatever they are called who said i cant due to opening the bag. Didnt even put in my motherboard lol.

Ill have another chat with them thanks. Would save me the hassle plus someone else would be able to benefit from me returning it.
I personally wouldn't buy a 3GB card, I think 4GB is the min standard for newer games it seems (at half decent settings).
I'd probably favor a 1050 4GB over this just as some games eat up VRAM.

Just my own view, have not voted either way.

It *was* cheaper, it is your card from last week... You said you paid 260, but it was 245.99 from Novatech.

You really need to flex your EU purchasing rights, you can return it.

The cuda core count and clock speed far outweighs any limitation in VRAM. I agree that 3GB isn't ideal these days, but I'd still choose this over a 1050Ti any day

The 1050ti can't push anything that requires more than 3G of VRAM anyway. You are way better off with the 1060 3gb.

i agree about vram but this card smokes the 1050 in pretty much everything. the 1050 doesn't really make use of the extra vram.

I actually paid 261 due to needing a allocated time slot via the delivery service.
Still a lot more than I paid last year but if you really must buy a card now itll do.

Will be interested in seeing where the 1160 and 1170 price themselves. 1160 rumoured to just be a Pascal refresh which is disappointing...
Still higher than they were on first release, by this point in their life cycle these should be in the £100-140 range so still price gouging going on

trsut me...they are not going to be £100-£140 anytime soon, i'd buy one now incase another mining wave comes in.
I'd suggest to spend more for the 6gb 1060

one of reasons I always use amazon for high ticket items (£150+). I bought 1050ti from novatech on amazon, two weeks later price dropped £20. They were fine with me sending it back even though i'd had it in my PC. To be fair novatech didn't even seal the bag, it looked used. Got another one at lower price and same open bag

Could you please let me know when you find a 1070Ti or 1080 for less than £200?

If you spot the item cheaper a few days later, I've found asking them to refund the difference via the online chat pretty successful. It saves faffing about returning items.

Blah blah, details details.
A decent card if it taps out your budget. As I always say in these threads, remember the amount of VRAM is NOT the only difference between a 1060 6GB and 1060 3GB.

The core and SM count is ~10% less on the 1060 3GB compared to the 1060 6GB.

GeForce GTX 1060 3GB: 1152 Shader Processors, 72 Texture mapping units, 9 streaming multiprocessors.

GeForce GTX 1060 6GB: 1280 Shader Processors, 80 Texture mapping units, 10 streaming multiprocessors.

That said, this is a good deal if you want an Asus 1060 3GB and I've added heat. It was decent at £199 a couple of weeks ago, at £189 it's even better.

If you're building a small gaming box, especially if you're looking for value (or only play eSports, OW PCMR represent) this is a perfectly reasonably choice.

If you can afford it then go for a 1060 6GB.

Unless you need a low-profile card or something with super-low power consumption (or both), at £190 it's a better choice than a £150 GTX 1050 Ti though.

Or wait until we see more about the GTX 11xx series if you're not in a hurry...

That's on you though, you were advertising as if it was 260 quid from hotukdeals a week ago, anyway, it's not even there anymore.
