This'll probably get voted cold for obvious reasons. But, these currently sell for around £520-£540 on eBay, used. This is new and with 3 year warranty. Personally, I thought it worth paying the extra for a shiny new card. It's the slightly higher clocked version too. Maybe it'll help someone

Nice. Thanks OP
Got my HUKD graphics card bingo sheet ready, eyes down looking for a full house.
Keyword alert: graphics card.
Why cold? I thought that was good price for a GTX 1080 gpu?
Just realised it must be the £5.48 postage that is despised so much!

Free postage if you are a member of AV Forums
Maybe because Nvidia about to launch new gpu in July. Plus 600 notes for a 1080 is a bit overpriced imo
Check cclonline. They have gtx 1080 in stock for £100 cheaper at £502 and most 1080 will overclock to the same speeds tbh
Not a bad price for a great 1080 at the moment, however it is still terrible terrible value. Bagged the 1080ti version of this ROG card in the November deal for £680 and that came with destiny 2 assassin's creed along with being significantly more powerful.

How do you know the new cards are coming in July?
Massive selection of 1080s available for £50 less, a few for £100 less. That is why it is cold.
but aren't they reference style blowers. I can't find this model any cheaper
Not much available for under £500 and this card is excellent. Good deal and a good price.

Overclockers and CCOnline both have a Pailt dual fan, non-reference card for about £505 - £510. In stock. I think someone else suggested this earlier.

ah yes, the palit. I was looking at those but I've got an Asus mobo and rgb trident ram, the Asus 1080 was the way to go for me, but yeah, cost wise and if you're not bothered by looks, the palit is cheapest non-blower.
The £450 Gigabyte 1070ti on offer currently is WAAAAY better value than this, with 95% of the performance at 75% of the cost.

Also, at over £600 I'd be looking for a 1080ti, given there was one for £680 yesterday, and direct from Nvidia Founders Edition models at that same price fairly regularly now. The 1080 is solid at around £500, slightly more for a higher end model. The performance jump to a 1080ti becomes far better value at anything £600 or higher.

That's why this is cold.

Also seeing used 1080s trickle onto eBay now for around 400
