Jeez, put a new record on. Good enough PC for most non gamers.

Swap the mechanical HDD for a quick boot SSD and you have a capable machine. In fact, I have this CPU and an SSD. It's fast enough for me and believe me I've spend a lot of money on CPUs in the past.

Bought one, not bad it does have just integrated graphics but there is an PCI express expansion slot if you want to put a discrete gpu in there.

I used a celeron for my steam box handled 720p games fine once I added a 7770 celeron nowadays are the equivalent to the core 2 duo range

They're actually pretty quick, similar performance to an i3 540 which are still perfectly capable. Celeron doesn't automatically mean crap like it used to. It's faster than an A6 6400 in CPU intensive tasks (obviously the AMD APU is a bit better).

Cold. much better deals out there for a basic system like this. i dint think youl ever get a deal from PCWorld to be honest unless its one of the price mistake deals

Some of the newer celerons are actually decent peformers but this one is always going to struggle with only 2GB ram, budget for another stick of ram if it takes it but if you feel like taking a gamble you may pick up a much better deal on Dell outlet.

So where are these better deals then? - other than as 'bully' says playing pot luck on the Dell Outlet site or hoping Amazon come good on the couple of insanely cheap deals of the last couple of days.
