I had the option to top-up my acc before buying and got a £5 discount
do yourself a favour and buy mid 100 pound motherboard
, there is zero difference in the performance
I just walked in to the kitchen and had a dump next to my dogs dog eggs when i seen that price
Not a MB that everyone needs, but its an ASUS. Best built MB in the world.
If I needed it I would buy.
A 9th generation build. More money than sense. So the X version of these boards are almost half the price so are Asus gonna support it with BIOS update for this generation like they have with the Ryzen boards?

I didn't spend that much on a CPU AND Motherboard nevermind a motherboard alone (MSI X370 / 1800x). This isn't value for money.

That is factually incorrect on many levels. Not advocating that everybody should put nearly 400 quid or more down on a motherboard, but more expensive boards have additional features and better components that’ll translate into more performance via overclocking.

Not to mention that some cheaper boards will throttle your CPU if they have a poorly designed VRM and you try to run something like a 9900K on it outside of Intel’s specifications. That’s already been shown multiple times already.

Better advice would be to look for a motherboard that suits your needs as a user, research the boards that fit your criteria and buy the best that you can afford at the lowest price you can find it for.
I paid £100 for my Asus Z97 and it keeps my 4970K at 4.8 no problem on air. What benefit would a £380 quid motherboard do with the equivalent i7?

More power phases, better cooling for them, better overclock options, better audio, better ethernet, better wifi, better sata, more options to m.2 etc. This kind of stuff.
