Looks like a good price for a sturdy tablet, includes John Lewis 2 year warranty too. Seems to be available in range of colours.
I'm not in the market for a tablet but might help others.

There is a lot of different models of Memo pad and this is one of the most low end models. Despite this model first being released last year, it has a 1024x600 resolution screen. For comparison, the 2013 Memo pad HD7 and 2012 first gen Nexus 7 which are also made by Asus are 1280x800 in resolution. John Lewis also incorrectly states that this is a quad core. The Intel Atom Z2520 is dual core. Specification on Asus website for this tablet model also state it is dual core 1.2ghz.

For anyone looking for a 7" tablet for £60, Lenovo A7 16GB from Argos is a possible better alternative

Any further proof required that votes on here are solely based on wind direction and full moons etc.....?

Could deals for this tablet please be a BIT more specific than "Asus MemoPad 7". One contained an ARM Cortex A7 CPU (ME173X) and the newer one contains the Intel Atom processor and is SO much better and more responsive. Although it might be obvious to some, there are still sellers pushing the older model at this kind of price.

A great tablet when it works, but there have been a lot of posts about the screen not picking up and some sort of power problem. A 2 year comeback makes it slightly less of a problem though, so I'll bang a bit of heat your way!

Think I'd rather pay £20 extra and get the 8 inch version. Still good price if you are looking for a travelling companion enroute to work lol

It's been adjusted now. So thank you OP. Doubtless though in the run up to Christmas we'll still see "Asus Memopad 7" deals....

This is the newer one. So deffo worth it. Warranty won't be needed so even more worth it from anywhere that might be cheaper.

the : ME176CX is the Intel quad core version, this is the latest i 'think'. ive just bought one from another post off Argos outlet ( sold as refurbished ), came in a plain box but was totally unmarked. updated to lollipop first time it connected to my wifi and runs very very well for £55, its an option if you dont mind it being called a refurb and want to save another fiver

We bought this one instead for our son, it is the newer quad core with 16gb memory for £10 more and, although it's obviously a cheaper tablet it seems really good.

Picked this up in John Lewis last month, although I only paid £29 for it!
Was a customer return, but had never been switched on.
Well worth the money, even at £59.95, though the one issue I do have is with the screen, which is far too reflective.

Yes. Look in the Google play store for the Android to Win10 update app.
Takes about 30 minutes and doesn't even need tablet to be rooted.

Really 30 minutes ?? My Memo pad 7 was ported to windows 10 in half the time but it was a full moon that night.
