Tesco are going bust because they pay too many people on this website to post instore wild goose chase deals/ vote hot on things that are luke-warm X)

This tablet will be seriously laggy, we have one of their quad core memopads and that only just copes.

Isn't the Linx with the MS Subscription a better deal??

Honestly, I am an Android man .. and I have the Xoom (yes i know its ancient) - which i have been meaning to upgrade ... the Quad Core Linx running Windows 8.1 seems to be a good bet .. how is this dual core tablet measure against the Linx 7 - which is being sold for a £10 more?

I bought the ME176CX for £70 around black friday, glad I went for it now.

Johnlewis sold them for £50 on black friday...

bought 3 of these from John Lewis on black Friday for £50 each. can't complain. do the job well

Bought the 4G 16gig ME372CL twin speaker version for just over £90 abroad.

Very impressed, & never found any lagging issues with the twin core hyperthreading atom.

Only issue is finding a case or screen protector for a new model, as the speakers buttons & camera holes etc vary.

Came with 4.2 but updated to 4.4 on its own in two stages about two days apart.

Just need something to keep it above the wheel in the car for satnav, TV, radio, news, calls, messages, clock, hukd browsing!

I guess as a "spare" tablet (or one for the kids to wreck), I guess I can see some point to this tablet, but otherwise it's not really spec'd highly enough to be your main device (I frankly cringed at the 1024x600 res :-( ). This is esecially true when good spec devices like the Hudl 2, Nexus 7 2013 and LG G Pad 8.3 can be found at affordable prices now.

I personally thought 2014 was a dsappointing year for good-spec'd Android tablet releases - the Nexus 9 blew it with a ludicrous 4:3 aspect ratio, the Tab S 10.5" launched far too expensively (Black Friday knocked it down to the 249 quid price it should have been) and the Tab S 8.4" was also overpriced. Still not seen an 8-9" tablet (sorry, 7" is soooo 2012 :-) ) at decent price/specs that betters the LG G Pad 8.3 I bought last year (oh, i must be able to run CyanogenMod of course!).

How does it compare to galaxy tab 4

anyone else find this really slow? bit disappointed with it

Now £99 so expiring it.
