Great deal considering it is the IPS version and not the TN.
£440.69 includes postage. Definitely the sweet spot for gaming right now 1440p@144hz imo.

cheaper on amazon …cheaper on amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-MG279Q-Monitor-Display-FreeSync/dp/B00VH3HO6C especially considering ocuk delivery

Especially the very good condition warehouse deals on Amazon in which they're going for £385. This posted deal, seems overpriced in comparison.
Perfect if you like your monitor with orange glow in the corners (like all IPS 144Hz 1440p 27" screens).

Orange glow? Not sure what you're talking about here. I've owned 3 similar ones of these (Gsync versions) and have never experienced that.

If you're talking about light bleed then yeah, that's a QA issue with Asus panels and you've just got to get lucky.
Got the Acer Predator 27" 1440p 144hz, G-Sync but TN panel for £420. Depends if you want/need G-Sync or not, but I've got no issues with the TN panel

i just ordered it at £440. i want to ask, is G-sync necessary? do you experience any tear with it off?

I've never not had G-Sync enabled so can't really say or compare to a non Gsync screen to be honest

Would you even trust a warehouse deal for one of these monitors? I've heard lots of reports of light bleed and yellow tint on the screen, I'd be worried of getting one of those which someone has returned. (I guess if those issues don't bother you it doesn't matter though...)

Either way, good price for the monitor considering how rubbish monitor prices can be otherwise.

Warehouse deals specify if there is bleed or dead pixels and sell them as "acceptable". The very good deals are 2 standards above and tend to just have damaged box and light cosmetic imperfection, none the less, you can purchase and return whenever you want from Amazon with ease.

Oh I'm aware you can return with Amazon Warehouse, I think Warehouse deals are great for most products. Monitors are such potluck buying new, never mind delving into warehouse deals, though. I imagine some details are likely to get missed on the descriptions.

All in all the real issue is QC though. It's sad that so many monitors (and TVs too, really, but some of these issues are more forgiving when you're sat further away) are ruined my poor QC on the manufacturers part. In the end it's a game of what issue annoys you least and you settle with that.

You know all of these IPS 27" 1440p 144/165 Hz panels Asus, Acer, AOC are the *same*, they all come form the same OEM.

Do you have an actual source for that?

Asking because out of the ones you've listed both Samsung and LG have been panel suppliers for those companies.

Orange/yellow glow in the corners affects all the IPS versions, not TN. I have the TN version.
